Was $1996 recently. Why pay more so close to Christmas!

  • Not bad, I managed to get it for $1996

  • Low-key waiting for the 75P8M to go cheap again, i've seen the 65" in person, outside of the slow boot up, it's a nice looking TV

What is the difference between P or r

      • The P series is the older 2018 model, and the R is the newer 2019 model

        • I see, thank you

  • Hang in there boys and girls.

Black Friday is around the corner.

  • Cheaper even with delivery at Appliance Central eBay with "PLOTS20".

    • AC $2270 delivered GG $2255.64 delivered GG cheaper by $14.36

      • Hmm, different delivery fees? I'm getting AC $2,090 after "PLOTS20" with $40 delivery = $2,130?

  • Waiting for R9. These are edge lit. R9 will be zoned backlit. And has some other nice features.

I bought one of these on the recent good guys deal. Massive buyer's remorse. Extremely bad lip sync which is different if using Stan or Netflix or DTV or HDMI inputs so you are constantly changing the Lipsync setting but no setting seems to match it up perfectly. To add to that one side of the tv has failed intermittently. Flashes black. Luckily I got video of it. Have a technician coming to replace the screen next week.

Netflix app streaming is poor and gives random green pixels during playback and ghosts movement with white pixels during dark scenes. It's cheap for a reason.

I'm pretty sure that they can't replace a screen/panel. If you need a replacement screen/panel they have to replace the whole TV because lifting the panel in and out of its support frame is pretty much impossible without it smashing.
If you remember could you please post here how your warranty/repair goes.

    • I walked into Good Guys yesterday where they had the 65R8 & 75R8 on display, unfortunately neither of them would power on I was told by the sales guy. Swaying me to get a Samsung 75 Q60 instead which costs a bit more.
