Xiaomi Smartmi DC Conversion Pedestal Fan 2 $89 + Delivery (Free with Kogan First) @ Kogan

150

Seems to be the lowest price.

Not sure what is the different between Xiaomi Smartmi DC Conversion Pedestal Fan 2 and Xiaomi Mijia Smart DC Pedestal Fan (selling at $100.99). Can anyone help?

The Xiaomi Smartmi DC Conversion Pedestal Fan 2 simulates truly natural wind while being energy efficient. Less than 1kWh of power can provide 500 hours of operation so you can stay cool without hiking up the power bill!

7-blade design uniformly cuts through the air
Airfoil-shaped fan blades reduce air resistance
Diversion-style fan cover increases linear airflow
Continuously stable even at low speeds
Quiet, noiseless operation
Lightweight and portable
Controlled wirelessly via the Xiaomi Mi Home app for your phone or tablet
The code for steady wind

The Smartmi Fan uses a brushless DC motor which is stable at low speeds, changes speeds smoothly and has a greater range of rotational speeds. The innovative fan blades can take advantage of the slow, steady nature of DC motors to uniformly cut through the air and faithfully reproduce the gentleness and fluidity of natural wind. New diversion-style fan cover is designed to produce linear airflow, making it more comfortable than vortex-style covers, which produce rigid airflow.

Any one got one or can compare to the kogan one?

    • -1

      Xiaomi has wifi

  • I love the option to control things via phone - but for a fan, I think a remote is fine..

Also - I can't seem to see any actual controls on the fan itself…

  • Mijia version probably controllable via the mijia app?

  • I Bought the batter version for $165 not long ago.
    Definitely worth it for ~$100.
Level 1-2 is super quite and at 4 has quite a strong airflow.
downside is no physical remote and nonadjustable height

you talking about the battery one? What else does the better one do?

      • I think it's just the battery, and possibly an extra 5w at max? I don't think it's the worth extra money unless you have a use case for the battery.

Google Assistant will turn these off and on. Otherwise, for speed, direction, oscillation etc. control via Mi Home or buttons on fan.

    • You can use home assistant to be inbetween the fan and google for all the other features

finding token is harder than finding nemo

        • not really, just download the older version apk on an android phone and its right there

That is all I did with my air purifiers, it was pretty easy. If you have iphone you just backup your iphone and access it in the backup file

  • Back at 119 now

    • Shit

  • anyone knows whats the difference to this one? https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/xiaomi-mijia-smart-dc-pedestal-…

  • My order was supposed to ship on 25/Nov, but now delayed to 06/Jan without notifying me. I probably should just cancel it.

    • Shit, that's really bad. By the time you received the fan, it is almost mid summer.

      • A new email came through and now estimates the fan will be shipped on 20/Dec, and giving me a $10 voucher to use on $50+ purchase.
Not sure if this can be delivered before X'mas, but given the weather is pretty mild in the next ten days, I guess I will wait for a couple more weeks.
