An alternative to the faster HelpersLAB charger I posted earlier. This features 2 USB-PD/QC3.0 ports with 60W in one and 18W in the other. Compared to the HelperLAB this is more suitable for charging a laptop and a phone or any devices with QC 3.0, rather than a laptop and laptop.

It also has 2 standard USB ports limited to 5V/2.4A (12W), includes a figure 8 cable and USB-C to USB-C cable. The charging indicator has a brightness sensor that will dim in the dark. Rated power is 75W with 90W peak.

Despite what the listing says AKAVO is not a Xiaomi sub-brand, rather a brand that sells on Xiaomi's crowdfunding platform.

  • I hope SB/CR come through with a reasonable rate tomorrow.

    • I'm more hoping AliExpress don't pull a fast one with conditions, limitations or just outright pull the coupons.

      • I'm not hopeful some of those seemingly very "generous" coupons posted in the past week will all function as advertised!

        • To be honest, those coupons usually have limited number of uses, and we're competing with the whole world for them, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're gone in seconds.

  • Is it USB-IF certified?

It looks interesting but a bit expensive.

    • +1

USB-IF decided to make their updated list members only so unless you're already in the group good luck finding out.

Price seems high, but is there an equivalent cheaper? I can't see any.

      • i think that's a bad decision that will only hurt consumer confidence not just in the products but USB itself.

If by equivalent you mean with TWO type-C ports, no. If you mean 80W chargers going for cheaper, yeah there've definitely been cheaper deals. Choetech and Coosa come to mind, and there's a flat one with 5 QC 3.0 ports that has a lot of rebadges.

        • Yeah I mean two USB-C ports as that's the selling point of this device.

  • Does this have AU plug?
