This is perhaps the best USB-C Charger on the market as it features 2 USB-PD ports with 65W in one and 30W in the other! Giving it enough power to charge 2 laptops at the same time or 1 laptop and 1 power bank etc etc. Others on the market normally only feature 1 USB-PD port up to 65W.

It also has 2 standard USB ports limited to 5V/2A (10W) and includes an AU Figure 8 cable. The current RRP in China is 638 CNY or ~$91 US, so this is a bargain in comparison.

  • Can you use any usb-c cable to charge your laptop?

    • If your laptop supports USB-PD charging then any USB-C to USB-C cable will suffice.

    • You can, but not all usb-c cable supports/charges at 65W.

They might all look the same, but max wattage can be very different.

      • @mg_k - All USB-C to USB-C cables support 3A, which at 20V is 60W. For higher power the cable needs to have an IC chip, which is usually described as having a "PD e-Mark" or being "USB-IF Certified". The chip will report to the devices on each end its' current handling capabilities, typically 3A or 5A. 5A certified cables (operating at 20V) enable 100W charging, provided both source and device are capable.

    • Good charging cables are often marked as 3A or 5A (amps), like this one; https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B01M3XKIVK

Holy snapping duck… Does that total output terrify anyone else, or just me?

    • +4

Why would it? It's divided among the ports and type c maxes out at around 95w on a single port.

      • +1

Because it's a ~$90 device that can push out over 100W… I'm just nervous that it might catch fire or similar.
(And it's not just this device, it's more than in this race for higher output and lower cost, with more and more brands out there, it's just harder to know quality)

        • +2

HelperLAB is unknown on OzBargain but they're a very good brand in China for chargers. Besides I seriously doubt anyone will have devices constantly drawing the max.

Why would it catch fire? Do you worry about your cheap toaster or kettle? What about your heater? How about that 600 watt $30 PSU in your computer?

I don't understand what $90 has to do with it? It's a switchmode power supply, it's nothing that hasn't been done before. Manufacturing in China is incredibly cheap so they can produce high quality and still make a huge margin.

The brand has a good reputation, I have one of these from them with a single PD Port and have had no problems with it.

Yeah, I do.. The idea of a $7 Kmart kettle scares me.. The only saving grace for that is as it is being sold by an Aust store, I suspect it has had to undergo some type of testing / assurance against Australian standards. Also, it's a longstanding product (where as I see high-power charging devices like this being much newer, so potentially less off a track record to iron out issues).

Yeah, that's fair, it's just new to me. My comment was more that there are a lot of new brands coming on the market, so it's just hard to keep up sometimes.

        • $90 isn't cheap, all the other brand marked up their price a lot to sell locally here.

  • How is AliExpress with Warranty and returns?

    • Probably non in existence

    • Depends on the seller

      Feeling lucky?

Maybe we should ask how our Insurance companies would like this too :)

Why would you need to do that?

No need to get so defensive and neg me…

I don't wanna buy a 105w charger, let alone one off Aliexpress. As wouldn't many other people.

            I didn't.

I don't wanna buy a 105w charger, let alone one off Aliexpress. As wouldn't many other people.

The ones on AliExpress are the same as the ones you buy on Amazon or eBay etc.

            • -3

@Maverick-au: Yeah you did, and you negged the other too.

I'm not buying off Aliexpress as a VERY large percentage of stuff there is absolute junk. Next thing you'll say Wish is great too.

              I'd rather buy official chargers.

              • +1

@scuderiarmani: When AliExpress cracked down on all the fake goods all the stores jumped the bandwagon to Wish ;)

Helpers LAB is an official charger and brand anyway. What makes them not official?

                • -2

@Clear: Helpers isn't official. Samsung is, Apple is, That's what people will use such devices for.

Those companies can easily get smart on you and ask what you used to charge them if a problem occurred. Do you reckon Apple will try to weasel their way outta repair?

                  • +1

@scuderiarmani: I'm not really following? What makes Samsung and Apple chargers more official than any other brand? Particularly when they're using charging protocols not designed by them (Qualcomm's Quick Charge/USB IF's Power Delivery) and then all the individual components inside that aren't made by them either.

If you want to see where almost all branded chargers are tested with iFixit level teardowns showing individual components, their manufacturers and spec sheets, then Chongdiantou are the industry standard. They don't do the amateur 'lets use a USB Voltage meter' like Bensong Leung.

While not this exact model, this and this came back with a very good review. Heat dissipation, quality branded components and excellent build quality.

                    • @Clear: Go to Samsung and say my device isn't charging correctly, give them any reason to NOT repair they'll find it.

This may well be good, I just know there are negatives with using something not supplied by the manufacturer.

                • @Clear: where can I read 'bout dis :O

When AliExpress cracked down on all the fake goods all the stores jumped the bandwagon to Wish ;)

                  Strong move

              • @scuderiarmani:

Yeah you did, and you negged the other too.

No I didn't but I just did now. Can you see two negs now? Mine is at 21:39.

I'm not buying off Aliexpress as a VERY large percentage of stuff there is absolute junk.

There are many good products on there in official stores as well as many good sellers.

I've purchased at least five hundred products from AliExpress and can count on one hand the products that have been crap.

Next thing you'll say Wish is great too.

                Why?

                • -2

@Maverick-au: You make it sound like cause they sell on ebay it's good? Most cheap ebay stuff is junk and fails in no time. I've hardly ever had anything last, let alone anywhere near the official supplied accessories.

You like it, congrats. Others have right to their opinions, and this site has a terrible reputation.

                  • +1

@scuderiarmani: Remember the Apple chargers that were starting fires?

What "official" charger has two PD and two USB ports? You know that those official chargers are made by other companies just like this company?

Anyway you keep wasting money but don't try and make out that these products are dangerous and affect your insurance because they don't.

No comment about me not leaving you the negative vote?

                    • -3

@Maverick-au: You realise these companies have a reputation to think of any excuse to not repair a device? Such as going to an unauthorised dealer? Using third party accessories?

                      Apple is known for that.

The simple fact is if it writes Samsung on the side as opposed to Sungsam it makes a huge difference. Irrelevant of who actually made it.

    • Thanks all for your input. Cheers

@Smokey010 I've had 2 bad experiences with AliExpress, No1) I paid extra for a desktop charger similar to this one but it had wireless charger option also. I paid extra for this but they sent me the identical one without wireless charging. I lodged a complaint AliExpress assisted, I was asked to send a video and photos of the item but they found in favour of the seller. This situation is still in progress as I lodged an appeal, basically you send in your evidence photos etc then they ask you for more. It seems like it would be quick to take a video or photo and upload it but it takes ages, trying to make sure that the photos show the issues you have with your purchase. No2) I bought a pair of Wavefun bluetooth 4.0 earbuds, I really liked them, then according to their website the identical pair was upgraded to bluetooth 5.0 so I gave my other earbuds to my son. When I got these earbuds I discovered they were identical which was good but they were still Bluetooth 4.0 which of course was bad! I contacted the seller they admitted it was 4.0 after I sent them a screenshot of a test I did on the earphones showing 4.0, but I had to return the headphones "at my cost" for a refund. I submitted a complaint to AliExpress they asked for more evidence, more photos etc, what more could I supply other than the screenshot. Anyhow they refunded me 25% of my purchase, so now I/we have 2 pairs of identical earbuds. Oh and Wavefun continues to advertise and promote with a big image stating their earbuds are Bluetooth 5.0!! So no I have little faith in AliExpress to manage the dispute. eBay is far far better in handling disputes!!

  • How would this go with fast charging the Note 10+ (at 45W)?

    • +4

Without doing a massive amount of research, I'd say no. The note 10 needs the 'pps' part of the spec as it hits 45W by a non standard [email protected]

      • +2

You're correct. No PPS in this unfortunately.

        • +1

          Appreciate the reply!

"Because this dimension is in the certification body's standard, only 80W can be marked on the bottom of the charger. The total output power of this product is 105W"

Can someone elaborate on this? sounds so dodgy

    • +1

What they mean to say is the rated power is 80W, but the peak power is 105W. Almost all brands just slap the peak power on rather than getting into specifics.

  • Looks powerful if it can back-up what it states ( 105 Max output ), but for this money would also like QC3 included lol.

    • +2

I went out and found one with QC 3.0 while sacrificing some watts.

My official Apple cable only lasted 2 months. So much for buying a brand name. And my Apple iphone screen freezes from time to time - Apple's solution is to do a factory reset. Geez when will Apple make a reliable product.

    • +1

It’s a bit of a pain since Apple customer service is non-existent and you have to make Genius Bar appointment 2 weeks in advance but… their cables are expensive, and you have a 12 month warranty. If you’ve got the time to waste, just take it back and get a new one.

  • Can this be used to fast charge an iPhone X if I get the USB-C to light ugly cable separately?

    • Yes
