No need to kill animals to make leather ones.
That's fine, I have plenty of synthetic shoes too, but I'm just saying that these for $24-$28 is close to, if not the ongoing regular price for these chelsea boots. the ozbargain special that everyone gets excited about are the leather ones (https://www.rivers.com.au/Product/Detail?CategoryId=73981&Pr…).

I got a pair from the last sale. Not bad for the price, though with everyday use they will last about 6 months. The sole starts to come loose from the shoe and the tread on the heels wear away showing the material underneath.
Great for a spare pair, functions or occasional use. Wouldn’t recommend as a daily wear.
Aren’t you supposed to let shoes air out/dry after a day of use – meaning you wear them one day off, one day on. This apparently makes them last much longer as the adhesive won’t break down.

If you read /r/goodyearwelt, most people as well as renowned shoe manufacturers recommend you don’t wear the same pair twice in a row. A pair of shoe trees will further aid in letting them dry between wears.
Well you would expect for them to last twice as long if you're only wearing them half as much..
