Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 PS3 Preorder $51.51 UPDATED +Battlefield 3 Same Price

110

Modern Warfare 3 isn't even out yet but it's cheaper than retail Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 already.

Price Comparison of MW3 PS3:
EBGames : $118.00
JB-HI-FI : $119.00
OZGameshop: $65.99
Play-Asia : $51.51
For those who can't do the maths, you save $67.49 (Over 50% off).

Other Platform Prices:
X-Box 360: Not in PAL Format.
PC : $51.51

Note: This is a preorder bargain.
Note: If you are planning on buying a DLC, it's recommended to buy from Ozgameshop because they sell the Australian Version. Credit to Leeboi36 for bringing that up.

Battlefield 3 for PS3/PC $51.51

I recommend buying the Asia region instead of the US region. Play Asia has no PALs of Battlefield 3.

There was another thread on Ozgameshop having $10 off any purchase over $60 which brought it down to $56 just last week, I got in then.

  • Yeah that deal expired a few days ago.

  • Sweet deal.

  • or you could buy from asia for about $50 shipped

    • i'll put that one up instead i guess that website is cheaper.

      • +1

Think I'd feel a bit more comfortable buying from ozgameshop..

  • How long do you think this price will last for? Any chance we might get another $10 off sweetener?

  • just 2 things

most of us here into games, know about the sites, so just post the deals

and 1 negative vote isnt "an attack" its just ozbargain

  • I'm not considering the -1 as an attack; just someone looks at my bargain and tries to find a cheaper one.

    • +2

thats what the whole site is about though mate

  • Well I'm just a newbie. But am I allowed to change it myself to a cheaper one if someone hasn't posted it? I didn't find anything about that in guidelines.

    • you can revise your deal, or just add it into a new comment, if you want it removed, report it to a mod to unpublish it

  • Any ideas on delivery times from OzGameShop?

    EDIT:

"Please allow a reasonable amount of time for your order to arrive. Delivery to Australia and New Zealand usually takes 4-12 working days."

  • If you buy a non-AU version it doesn't impact multiplayer right?

Just that the maps (DLC) need to be bought using a foreign PSN login/credit card?

    • Incorrect as your psn account is registered as an AU user you will not be able to access the US server at all. Even if you have a US acc it still won't allow you do download DLC as it blocks incoming traffic from other countries.
Seeing as a lot of people will buy DLC for the game it would be considered before buying this, whereas OzGameshop MW3 version is the same as AU

      • So your saying that if people want to get the DLCs for MW3 or Battlefield, they need the Australian version?

        • Not neccessarily AU it can be from England. Specifically you want one that have BLES code not BLUS which is the one from playasia.

        • You can buy from the UK or AUS… would not reccommend buying a game from Play-Asia if you wish getting dlc.

        • What's SCES then? That's written on my Australian versions of GT5:P and GT5

        • it should say BCES on GT5, it simply refers to the region the E in it stands for Europe which includes Australia whereas BLUS is for the US. Anything with E in it will work in Australia

        • Whoops my bad it is BCES, was looking at GT4 when I typed SCES.
What's the difference between the L and the C?

        • I've bought plenty of games from Play Asia… US games, Korean Games, Japanese Games.. I've NEVER had DLC or internet play be a problem on my 360 or PS3.

      • Is that restriction for CoD/US games only?

Cause I bought the Asian version of Soul Calibur and was able to download the DLC (Yoda) for it using an Asian PSN registered with an Asian credit card.

  • u heard play-asia ship games that don't work in aus can any1 confirm

    • ps3 games will work, sometimes a xbox 360 game wont, but the play-asia website has a really good list of what games will on most consoles around the world, its generally just dlc that is region locked, but you can make foreign accounts to get around (but thats a little annoying imo)
