I have the X7000D, which is a good entry-level 4K HDR TV. The X8500G would be an excellent mid-upper range version. However, in your position, I would go for the OLED; seeing the OLEDs in store (I’m a big fan of the Sony line-up but the LG is very good also), I am blown away by their picture quality and black tones, which are superior to the LED/LCDs in my opinion. But there is of course the premium you must pay for it. Let us know which you decide to get. It’s an odd time for JB to have a sale, but if you’re not in a rush, might be worth waiting for Black Friday/Cyber Monday coming up in a few weeks
