    • -8

I got 1660 and 16gb ram and 480gb ssd with the same money.

      • +17

Prove it with link to deal

        • +1

I believe he was referring to this. Better in some ways worse in others.

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/491406

          • @Variableaperture: So this or techf@st deal?

I know out of stock but might be cancellations etc

          • @Variableaperture: Exactly. Techfast deal has better gpu/cpu!!!!

Which i alsocustomised for 16gb ram, better mobo, 480gb ssd, and already has better cpu/gpu and power supply.
            Also ships sooner.

Dell deal is nice but def needs customising/upgrading, and i dont really need all the extras (windows/keyboard/mouse)

    • +1

      And real warranty

    • This deal is great. More storage, better connectivity and geniune Windows.

  • +8

PCPP Link with cheapest options comparatively…
    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/3wPmq3

  • Either of the two M.2 slots NVME?

  • +5

    Warning: delivery date 4 Dec-11Dec

    • YIKES

      • +1

I had the same thing when I ordered the 2060 Inspiron last week, and Ebay still says that the expected shipping date is early December but the actual Dell purchase tracking website is telling me it should arrive next week, so maybe that date is an overestimate?

  • Omg that’s cheap

  • Woah that's crazy. I got the same model from JB Hi Fi a few months for $1100 and thought I was doing okay considering they have it up for 2k. (Was an insurance replacement, could only shop at JB) (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/dell-inspiron-amd-gaming-…)

  • +2

I am listening to more feedback on this deal. :-)

    • +1

      same here :)

  • Thanks Wayne30, placed an order!

  • +1

I am not much into a complex system so just want to know if I should consider buying this ? if not than any recommendations. Cheers.
Note: if few more bucks can give better system than I am considering that as well.

  • +1

Damn I was going to build and ITX with ryzen 5 2600 but this is so much cheaper

    Ryzen 5 2600 $170
    SFX PSU $140
    Windows $15
    Ram $100
RX580 $200? not sure so old
    HDD $50+$50
    mobo $100
    Case $50

    $875

This is with a 2700 not even the ryzen 7 2700x

    • Same. I was gonna do a ryzen 3600 build but this deal is making me rethink. Do I really need that itx form factor…. Arghghfhggh

      • yeah like i got a portal case for that look. but this is uber cheap and ok looking but would be just the same as my desktop now.

      • +1

yes nah sticking with the itx. every component on this desktop is going to be non-salvageable apart from the cpu as most of it is going to be mediocre speed parts.

remember absolutely no warranty if you pull this apart especially with the hdd's.

        • Yep. Haha same for me. I'm building another pc to last another 10 yrs so cost is no issue or at least shouldn't be for me I guess.

        • +2

Not true. Opening the case does not void the warranty. I've done it many times with DELL boxes. Just keep all the original parts and if you need to use the in home warranty (which by the way is better than any other PC manufacturer) put it back to original spec and you're good to go.

  • +2

wow that's cheap i really wish i could use multiple pc's

  • Any have any experience about how easy it is to upgrade this machine? E.g. M.2 drive or RAM?

    • +2

It's just a desktop dude. If it's got the slots you just remove, add or replace as you like.

Edit: mobo is unknown. So figure that out first.

    • I am keen to know as well…. I will use it more or less for video streaming but I believe having gaming desktop will be helpful. Especially at this price

    • +1

Service manual indicates that it has 2 M.2 SATA slots and 2 x RAM slots.

  • +1

    Just bought one, thanks!

If anyone is worried about the RAM and the RAM speed. Remember this one only has 2 RAM slots and does NOT support XMP. So you are a little limited if you want to upgrade. But I mean at $700, it's a great bargain.

    • Do they provide a full invoice with name on? Thinking of pulling the trigger but want to use it on tax/fringe benefit but they only let me if the above is available.

Edit: Don't worry, they do was reading on a mobile and didn't come up, but now it does.

  • A quick search online but couldn't find any further details on the motherboard.

Hoping to find out if the RAM is upgradeable to DDR4-3200.

    • Im keen to know too … can't find much info about the mobo specs.

    • +3

Not upgradeable to DDR4-3200, see my comment above

Also you can see it at page 15 in the Configurations supported section

      https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/inspiron-5676-gaming-desktop…

      • thanks atmega420

    • +2

Im pretty sure dell like to make their own mobo's

  • Can you run dual monitors on this machine? Only mentions 1 HDMI out and no display ports.

  • just what kind of motherboard does dell use, seem to be all dell branded. if we wanted to fit in two more sata hdd's would the pcie channels be shared with the sata especially if nvme in?

that is, would be nice to know the chipset.

  • probably won't be able to overclock cpu/ram with that motherboard otherwise quite good value given the 8c/16t cpu

  • bought one thanks!

  • +1

Absolutely a led deal! CPU and GPU worth $600+ already. Everything else are for free. Thanks OP, got one!

  • just called Dell, they only clearing around 80u of this, pull the trigger? seems like an awesome deal…

    • Well already 150+ sold on eBay

  • This kills techfast deals.

  • +1

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4etcZJkXZE

check out this video, it was a dell prebuilt too, the same case, Ryzen gen1 parts though.

Please remember these are Proprietary parts. You are likely to get BARE PCB RAM, MB WITHOUT heatsink, blower or 1 fan RX580 and weak PSU.

BIOS will not support overclocking, Ryzen Master is the only option, but PBO may not be supported and no VRM heatsink.

    Resell value is low

  • For this Ryzen 2700x CPU, its performance is almost equivalent to the Intel i7-9700K. However its GPU is equivalent to the GTX1060-MaxQ.
Ideal for casual gamer and professional creator.

    • +1

Will it handle complex excel spreadsheets and multiple chrome tabs with heavy contents well?

    • +1

I assume you are talking about productivity? For gaming the 9700k would outperform the 2700x

  • +1

thanks OP, got 1. was going to get the Ryzen 9 from techfast, but this is too good to pass

  • Another awesome Dell deal. I purchased the 2060 Dell deal over the weekend. Just beware the quoted delivery time frame is the start of December. Unsure how accurate this is!

  • Looks like you can upgrade the powersupply and graphics card. https://www.dell.com/community/Inspiron-Desktops/Inspiron-56…
    Thanks OP grabbed one.

    • No options for eBay orders?

      • +1

        No talking about aftermarket upgrade.

  • Thanks OP, just bought it!

Noob question, but can I replace one of the 4gb sticks for an 8gb stick of RAM, or do I need to replace both?

    • +1

might be unstable if you just replace one (bsod etc), would recommend replacing both if you do

  • BIOS support for overclocking is unlikely, Ryzen Master is the only option, but Precision boost overdrive again maybe not in the bios and MB vrm has not heatsink.

It is for someone has no interest and knowledge in computers and would use it till falling apart/obsolete.

    • -1

Nah I'm sure you could resell this for $600 - $700 on Gumtree after a year.

      • +3

Probably you can resell it now for $800 lol

      • After a year, Zen3 is coming. Question is would dell give a bios update to support future CPUs.

Unlike Intel sockets, AM4 is supposed to last Multi gens.

  • Thanks OP, purchased one as well!

  • Thanks OP! Grabbed one!

  • the listing says only 9 left. get in quick

    • 6 now… watching it drop to 0

      • Took my time to read the comments for pros and cons… And… Gone…

        • next time buy first and research later - always ok to request a refund

        • back in stock - get in now!

    • FOMOed hard and bought one when I saw the low stock tick down! Guess I better let the wife know…

      • You poor thing!!!

  • wonder how silent this is though.

    • +1

Customer review says its quiet and fast

  • +1

Thanks OP !! Bought one, just in time. SOLD OUT NOW

  • +2

    back in stock

    • +1

      Legend…wait for it…Darily re-stocked!

  • +1

Does anyone know what we would be eligle for game wise?

AMD Ryzen™ 7 2700X says Choice of 1 Game (Borderlands 3 or Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Breakpoint) with 3 months Game Pass

AMD Radeon™ RX 580 says Choice of 1 Game (The Outer Worlds or Borderlands 3) with 3 months Game Pass

Does that mean we get 2 out of the 3 games?

    • Correct.

    • Hey mate, can you please direct me somewhere with more details of these, I've seen this deal and another similar for awhile, I picked up the above Desktop from JB Hi-Fi not long ago so trying to figure out if I can get involved

    • Did anyone get any codes in the box? I think I will start a support case with them.

  • +8

The OzBargain effect. The last 80 sales over time.

    • I like it how there's an exponential curve, really shows the effect of deal votes on Ozbargainer's tendency to 'buy now think later'.

      • +1

it was actually a decent deal if you have no idea how to build a computer and wanted a cheap gaming rig
