½ Price Huggies Baby Wipes Refill 200 Pack $5

Your link shows $7. ½ Price would therefore be $3.50…

    • ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    • OP says it's half price ($5) starting in TWO DAYS from Wednesday 6 Nov - Tuesday 12 Nov

      • -2

Yep, that's what they say, but the price all this week, up until the 5 Nov (as well as all last week) has been $7. So on the 6th, it won't be half price… It will be $2 off…

        • Half price from RRP $10 jeez. $10 all the other times it's not on sale. Just a little edit will do.

          • +2

@kaebomb: jv patrols keenly at this time of night. Really need to sharpen up your posts if taking the plunge at this time of night.

          • -2

            @kaebomb:

$10 all the other times it's not on sale.

Normal price is $7-$8 if you shop around… You'd need rocks in your head to pay $10.

        • +2

That is not how it works… like at all. So are you saying if something is half price 2 weeks in a row, it has to be 75% off on the second week? Get a grip.

          • -2

            @Vinodra:

That is not how it works…

            Yeah, it is…

            It's currently $7, it's being reduced to $5. So that's a saving of $2, not 50%.

            • +2

3 out of the last 8 weeks at Coles.
2 out of the last 8 weeks at Woolies.
3 out of the last 8 weeks at Chemist Warehouse.

                That's 8 weeks out of 8 weeks…

If that makes me delusional, what does it make you ?

                • @jv: Coles/Woolworths should hire you to change their catalogue pricing as it states 1/2 price. Unfortunately only a select few such as you who don't like simplicity. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ So unfortunate.

                  • -1

                    @Dollarino:

catalogue pricing as it states 1/2 price.

They shouldn't be stating it's half price when it's not half the price they were previously selling it for.

                    • +2

@jv: Excuse me, but what EXACTLY was I meant to interpret from what you said. It literally means nothing. Give me even 1 example of one thing being half price (50% off one week), then "half price" (75% off) the next week (EXCLUDING CLEARANCE ITEMS). I guarentee you cant.

Percentage discounts are based off RRP if you are strugling to grasp that, you're to far gone for me to even try and explain that.

                        It literally means nothing.

                        It does…

When you start claiming a discount from a price you were not selling it for, it is very misleading

                      • @Vinodra:

Percentage discounts are based off RRP

Not according to the ACCC laws against misleading advertising… They are very clear about deceptive and misleading price comparisons.

                        • @jv: The website CLEARLY states $7 is a discount of $3, how can that be misleading?

According to YOU it is on special 2 out of 8 times, meaning it is on special 25% of the time, what does coles' price have to do with woolworths????

Unless it is $7 EVERY WEEK the RRP is NOT $7, it is $10.

                          • @Vinodra:

The website CLEARLY states $7 is a discount of $3, how can that be misleading?

Because it is the current price. Wednesday, they are reducing the price by $2. That is not a 50% saving…

    • +2

      To make it simple :

Normal RRP at Woolies : $10.00
      Current week deal : 30% off rrp - $7.00
      Coming week deal : 50% off rrp - $5.00

      • Price comparisons should be against the normal price. Normal people know that…

It's been this price for the last 2 months now.

        • +2

Again, Coles and CW's price has absolutley no bearing on woolworths. They are seperate entities.

          • +1

            @Vinodra:

Coles and CW's price has absolutley no bearing on woolworths.

            same product…

You could pretty much buy it for $7 any week since August.

            • +2

@jv: But was woolworths selling it for $7 every week for the past 8 weeks? Again.. They. are. seperate. entities.

              • +1

                @Vinodra:

But was woolworths selling it for $7 every week for the past 8 weeks?

Customers don't care, most will buy wherever it's cheapest. It's the same product.

In this instance though, they are decreasing the price from $7 to $5. So it's a $2 saving.

$1.87 per 100 wipes at Aldi normal price, Mamia brand.

    • +3

      Mamia brand.

      That's crap though…

      • The ones in the giant refill bags are very nice actually. Two kids and many brands later I still prefer that one.

        • I found the embossed aldi ones tore quite easily.

          • @Robc: I believe these Huggies refills can also rip easily if care is not taken when pulling them out of the refillable tubs. In saying that, I haven't used the premium Aldi ones in the refill bags yet so can't comment on their fragility

            • @kaebomb: Yeah I've only used the pre packed laptop bags, but I always tore the first 20 out. I'll give these a go, not a mad fan of the curash ones I bought from woolies in the last deal.

              • +5

@Robc: If only the wipes in the cheaper 80-count packs from supermarket brands separated themselves easily. I am so sick of pulling out a whole string of wipes with one hand when I just want one lol

      • all the same to me. i normally buy the coles unscented ones, still cheaper than this deal. not sure what everyone's obsession with huggies is. i mean i got the 99c deal on ebay, but wouldn't buy them at full or even half price.

        • +1

not sure what everyone's obsession with huggies is.

Some of us have a more sensitive toosh than others…

          • @jv: No name brands also have unscented/sensitive wipes. it's basically the same thing, unless you get/need those expensive water wipes.

  • -5

Please do mother earth (and your kid) a favour and try using these https://www.target.com.au/p/baby-1-pack-terry-wash-cloths-as… and just water…

    Goes well with reusable nappies.

Not the most convenient when going out, but great for home use, especially before the kid turns 6 months old.

    • +4

Sorry, no, we already do 2 washing loads a day as it is. And wipes get used to clean up 8 month masters drool, vom, food bits he has painted his whole face with, the high chair that is also painted with food, the bits of food on the floor below the high chair. the random squirts of milk on the floorboards all over the house from carrying a squirming child and a bottle from one room to another. We would be going through a dozen or more terry wash cloths a day if we werent using disposable wipes, without even taking nappies into consideration.

    • Hey, I know you're trying to help the environment and good on you.. Homemade reusable wipes and cloth nappies are probably not for everyone though, especially those who are time-poor and don't want to be lugging around soiled laundry when out and about (kudos to those who do, especially in Summer..)
For sheer convenience, maybe try Tooshies by TOM wipes or Wotnot wipes which are both more earth-friendly as they're biodegradable. Probably a lot easier to use for days out too.
If only the cost of environmentally-friendly products weren't so high compared to the cheap nasty stuff though.

  • +1

Having tried the Huggies wipes from the last deal, I was disappointed with its quality. I prefer the big W Dymples ones. Might be worth a try if someone else doesn't like the Huggies. Also permanently cheaper at $8 for 480 pack. Use wish gift cards for further discount.

    • $7.50 permanent price drop ^^

      • +1

THats what I thought. But saw new packaging and price increase to $8.

        • Oh wow you're right! Gonna stock up on the old packaging then if they're still around!

          • @CVonC: Couldn't find stock anywhere. Good luck if you do find any.

  • +2

Aldi one still cheaper though 80 wipes at $1.89.

    • Yep, and Coles cheap brand is $2 dollars for 200 wipes. They're good quality IME.

      • $2 for 200?? Got a link? Can't find that on their website.

        • Sorry, made a mistake. $2 dollars for 80 wipes, Woolworths and Coles have everyday prices for their own products. Looks like Aldi is the cheapest though.

  • +1

Amazon also dropped the price for 200 pack to $5.

    • Also subscribe and save will bring it down to $4.25. Make sure you also include shopback/cashrewards! :)

    • amazon is out of stock for the moment and price went back to 7.99
