Yes, the M2R Pro gradually steps down from 1800 lumens to 750 lumens after approximately 4.5 minutes due to physics. We understand that many manufacturers are not upfront about thermal step downs, but we are.

Yes, the M2R Pro HAS A NEUTRAL White LED.

We understand there are cheaper '1800 lumen tactical flashlights' out there, but this is part of the official Olight global release with local shipping, support and warranty. Check Olight Australia reviews if in doubt.

  • Who would pay $180 for a FleshLight!…..Oh wait….$180 for a Flashlight! Wtf….

Kidding - I have the regular version from the last deal. It’s brilliant and well worth the money.

    • You have the regular Fleshlight from the last deal? Damn how did I miss that!!

      • you must be blind…..;)

        • …and I thought that was just a myth that it would happen

          • @khrome: No…turns out staring into 1800 lumens will do that to ya!

I’ve bought too many of these olights. Fantastic lights and superb quality but my wife would probably kill me if I bought another

      Dont worry ozbargainers will provide
finest excuses for you.if all fails ozb will find cheapest funeral services, flowers and a barrister.

Note that this uses a proprietary 21700 - normal 21700s won’t work in it.

I’m happy about NW - CW is usually the only thing that turns me away from Olight - but not about the proprietary battery ($40).

    • +1

It's true we modify the 21700 for a few reasons, but a 5000mAh one is included and it is rated at 500 cycles.

Custom 21700 is for safety, reliabilty and works with our 2A mag charging.

      I hear you though.

Thanks for the reply :) trying to edit my post to mention that that’s a spare battery and the light definitely comes with one, but can’t work it out on mobile.

You’re right in that throwing something like a 30t into it might not be great, even if it’s a regulated driver.

    • One of the things the M2Rs do that I have not yet seen in a competing product is that the tail switch and side switch are independent. Use the tail for a quick burst of turbo, and the side switch still memorises the last used mode. I'm only semi-expert, but I think with the single wall design which keeps the M2R Pro thin, a customised cell is required for this.

Thanks for the info. I was about to buy.

Potentially the best light ever made. I own the m2r and the pro version looks amazing and is getting great reviews. Refined an already excellent light and made it much better.

I am buying two and pick up a free Javelot R20 to go with it. These sales are a no brainer.

These sales are a no brainer.

      My wife would agree!

    • +1

wont you have to get to $250 to get a free R20? SO you will have to add some more things. I thought of doing the same.

The R20 is an old model and only 900 lumens

      • +1

Good throw for 900 lumens though. If I was $30-$40 away from getting it dropped in, I'd add a few i1Rs. Hehe.

      • +1

Yeah, I threw in the UV torch. Then I got both :)

The R20 will make a good christmas present for someone.

I'm playing with my M2R Pro at work now. Took me a little while to get used to it feeling different to the original M2R, but I've been carrying in place of my Seeker 2 Pro for a week or two now. Most of the time I activate medium when I want medium now (originally I'd keep activating turbo by pressing too far). I'm quite happy with the size. I'm even used to the bezel now - I thought it was a bit too aggressive when I got it, but it's grown on me.

  • Hey guys, any word on when these are being dispatched, I only ordered early last week, and am very impatient :)
