  • Careful. These guys sign you up to auto renewal. My renewal went up $730 so I went elsewhere but then with no warning they willed me on the policy anniversary. They then made a fuss when I tried to seek a refund until I pointed out that there is a cooling off period

    • So no option to stop auto renewal?
      Their quote is pretty sharp, much cheaper than my existing house policy… tempted.
      Expensive for car though.

    • Took me several weeks and calls to get my renewal reversed, I had cancelled prior to it being taken to start with so I wasn’t happy.

    • My renewal with them for 2 cars were expensive, got the new quotes online with them which came cheaper than the renewal and applied the code to get the further discount.

      Been with them for few years wtihout claim though..
      They always send the renewal notice a month before the expiry date so plenty of time to shop around and call to cancel the renewal if found cheaper elsewhere or new quotes with them

    I had to make a claim on Woolworths travel insurance a couple of months ago and I was very pleasantly surprised by their customer service and how trouble free the claim process was. Thanks for sharing this OP. I'll do some comparisons with our existing car and house policies.

  • Guys if the code doesn’t work, try to open a new window or safari and start again, I’ve realised if you fiddle around with it going back on pages it correct itself and offer only 10% off only.
    No one is offering this price for car insurance

  • Code carx03 works for car insurance, but worked out more expensive than SGIC for me. It may appear cheaper with woolworths after you factor in the $100 gift card but the quote is on a high $800 excess - at the same excess with SGIC it was cheaper for me. Also, i did not want to deal with the autonewal with woolworths! no deal!

    • I did and it's a scam.

      I signed up for the carx03 promotion ($100 woolies gift card). Called first time "it should arrive Monday sir", second time "sorry, you were misinformed by the last agent, it will be posted after 45 days", 3rd time @ 60 days (give it one more week and it will arrive). 4th call I cancelled my policy. Will obviously need to report them to get the promotion. They acknowledge I have met the terms and have the offer on my account.. but it's now Dec 1 and they "processed the gift card" on the Nov 5th. But they can't tell me if processed means posted…in summary.. AVOID!

        Last time I used CARX03 for the $100 gift card as well. You must contact them after 45 or 60 days. The code only flags into their system. But the guys over the phone were very helpful and kept to their promise for a call back - extremely surprised as I thought I was going to be given empty promises. I've bounced around on this deal multiple times though to keep getting the giftcard each and every time though. So I've been enjoying the giftcards to be used for fuel :)

        TLDR: Good Value, customer service through a little inconvenience.

        • I'm up to my 9th call…60 odd days…always 'give it another week…"it was processed on Nov 5th and it's 'Coming'" …BS.. I asked for it to be resent and a supervisor to call me back every 7 days to check that I got it. Just email an E-gift card…nah, can't do that.

          Nowhere in the T&C's does it say you need to call back to get it.
