Should I Wait Untill Black Friday to Buy an Arlo Pro 2?

Drawing on the brains trust here, im looking at buying a an arlo pro 2, 3 camera stystem. The good guys have them down to $724.50 delivered with their 20% sale ending today. Im planning on going down to bunnings to see if they will price match -10% (worth a shot). Seems like a good deal from what i can tell these go for around $900. Should i pull the trigger or wait and take a gamble on the black friday sales in a few weeks? Any advice is appreciated.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2019

  • Given that the Arlo pro 3 has already launched, the pro 2 has a chance to be reduced further. So I would personally wait until black friday sales for the pro 2 or maybe to just go straight to the pro 3 then.

Thanks mate Solid advice, i didnt consider stock clearance. Im looking at the arlo 2 over the 3 because it comes with 7 days rolling cloud footage for free where as the 3 is $10 - $15 a month for cloud storage.

my local bunnings does 10% off the ebay price. came down to $460 for the 2 camera system which was a good price i thought.

Yes this, but only free up to a certain number of cameras if I remember correctly (5 cameras for our Arlo 1st gen).

Also I learned from another user that Netgear has separated from ‘Arlo’ and apparently the ‘Arlo Ultra’ and models after it are therefore designed differently & have the ‘new’ cloud plan system.

I have heard of many issues with the ‘Arlo Ultra’ (up-until it’s delayed released & after it has gone on-sale), so I would be careful before going with the ‘Arlo Pro 3’ as well since it may also have issues.

Errr, Bunnings will sell you a hammer for $652. Not so sure if they will have cameras.

A quick search for Arlo, Ring, Swann will show you they do in fact sell the Arlo cameras plus others.

I have been eyeing the Arlo pro 2 but didn’t like the fact it needs a base station. I bought a JOOAN wireless unit from here and I’m very impressed with it. Footage is stored in micro SD card though.

  • Thanks for all the help guys, my local harveys ended up doing a good price on an an arlo 3 setup so im all set. Very impressed with it so far

    • Let us know how it is after a few months.
I am sure others who are interested in the Pro 3 will appreciate it as well.

  • Arlo Pro 3 have already been out for a few weeks and Arlo Pro 2's are still on the money-grab price from all local retailers. I went ahead and ordered a couple of units from Amazon US which had already dropped their prices to 37% off and decided to get 2x add-ons I've been wanting to get locally. Even with shipping to AU, I am saving nearly $90 per camera compared to if I picked these up at full price at local JB or HN.

  • Hey guys I'm looking to buy the Arlo Pro 2 as well. Can't seem to find any decent sales anywhere
Has anyone seen any good deals?

    Cheers
