Wild Krill Oil 1000mg 60 Capsules $14.24 (was $28.48) @ Chemist Warehouse

200

These are the proper strength ones, some on chemist warehouse have low DHA/etc numbers.

Cheapest price I've seen for krill oil anywhere. Supposed to be a healthier way to get Omega 3 than fish oil but normally far too expensive.

Are these better than the domesticated ones?

    • domesticated ones?

      Link?

      • You need to ask for them. They’re behind the counter.

        • Couldn't find. That's why I am asking you

          • @RSmith: Ask the pharmacist, not the person at the register.

  • Usually, the important thing is the content of the active chemicals (omega 3 fatty acids), not where they come from. The issue with fish oil capsules for me is that they irritate the stomach, so I need to source enteric coated (delayed release)caspsule from America, which drives up the cost compared to the cheap and nasty instant release variety you can get from chemists or Aldi off the shelves here in Australia.

    • ALDI has fish oil? Never noticed it . I'll check it out next time I'm there

  • thanks OP purchased

  • where are the DHA facts on this?

Pair this with the maccas 30-days-deals, perfect, so I'm not so guilty now

  • I bought one of these at full price recently, no upset tummy, no fish burps or smell.

Cheers OP will get a couple o more now.

Far better off getting omega-3's from food (salmon roe, low-mercury small fish such as sardines, mackerel etc) rather than capsules. See this fb post and this study for more info.

That appears to address only one byproduct of oxidation, aldehydes. I thought krill was generally regarded as less oxidized due to the astaxanthin, whereas fish oil was easily proven to be rancid due to the evidence of the fishy smell if you open a capsule.
