Lowest price it's ever been. $884 (picked-up) after cashback for a 65" QLED TV? Not bad at all.
I got one myself.

What a brilliant price!!
Good Guys have a habit of not having any eBay stock in store for click and collect, despite having it available if you inquire in store.
I've just picked mine up. It was ready for collection 30 minutes after I've finished the transaction online.
You can't buy via ebay C&C as there is "no stock" in your local store.
Either TCL are going out of business or they’re introducing new models soon or they’re just flooding the market and creating havoc for everybody else…
i've projected these ultra thin TVs prices will drop to $1000 in a year last year. It's inevitable with the tv screen prices are ultra cheap in China these days due to over supply. While we are at it, we also have over supply of skilled workers in this Country and hence our real wages growth is like 0%.
Seems like a good price.
Does anybody know how many local dimming zones there are? 680 nits and 4000:1 contrast ratio seems below average, but at least better than any other TV offering "hdr" around the 1k mark I think.
I have one and it is incredibly bright coming from my old tv.. I run the backlight around 30% at night time..
I have no idea how anyone could watch a 1000nit television without seriously needing sunglasses
16 local dimming zones
(us flagship 8 series has around 1000 local dimming zones, full array back light, similar price, local dimming test result is better than sony x950G)
https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/picture-quality/local-dimmin….
It’s edge back light, not full array back light
8.9mm thickness for screen.
Not support Dolby vision.
CPU for android tv is MT5891 ( sony 2014 - 2018 models use the same CPU).
2G RAM, 16G storage.
Fantastic TV at this price, but shouldn’t be the flagship of TCL.
Waiting for the real flagship similar to 8 series release in Australia.
Is this a good TV compare to Samsung or HisensE?
Interested to know this too
Better than Q60, not as good as Q75
Q60 might be better in terms of upscalling HD content.
how is it better than Q60 samsung? I am abou tto pull trigger on that one for $1516 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-QA65Q60RAWXXY-65-Q60…
Go for the Samsung.
There is a lot of "kudos" for the Hisense R8 series on the Whirlpool forums and it maybe even better (or at the least comparable) to the Samsung Q60

Otherwise, TCL 65X7 in Australia has a bad rep,
https://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/review/tcl/x7/663747/
Slow start-up times,
https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/tcl-65-inches-x7-4k-android-u…
No Dolby Atmos, no Dolby Vision HDR and bad auto-calibration, however, Whirlpool forums are a good source for fixing the auto-calibration issue with these TVs.

Overall, the TCL 65X7 is a pretty good buy for an on the cheap QLED TV.
I, myself, went for the Hisense 65R8 which overcomes most of the short-comings of the TCL 65X7.
If you can wait a bit more, then the Hisense R9 series has backlit QLED which should give better uniform blacks.
Would this be any good in a room with a high amount of reflective light. (i.e considering the high brightness of the unit)
I went into the TGGs to check out the P8 65 and ending up getting 2 of these. Great price for a QLED version and noticeably brighter than the ULED cheaper model
I'm seeing some concerning reviews, is it better than the 65" R7? really interested with this one
Hisense 65R7 is not QLED.
so it should render a better picture? thanks :)
I believe 65R8 may be the counterpart since it uses quantum dot technology (QLED).
so the price point is the huge winner here it seems thanks
If you have time, I highly advise to go and visit JB-hifi or TGG and ask them to play the same 4K content from their USB. Compare both TVs and see if the difference is worth it :).
edit: I remember that 65R8 has more features. Like it has Dolby Vision HDR support among others. The recent cheapest price for 65R8 is $1.3k. Something to consider too.

Do the netflix youtube apps on these work OK?
Android TV. So yes, very well.
I have a TCL C6US. Android works better than expected. I have stopped using my android tv box after getting the new TV. Netflix and Youtube works fine on these TVs.
bugger no stock in newcastle nsw, or 150 km radius…
It's like having the nvidia shields built in.
Can’t seem to buy it. eBay keeps saying that:
Item isn’t available in the requested quantity. It may have been purchased already, or the listing has expired.
Yet it shows in stock in my selected pick up location. And people have been buying in the last hour.
What gives?
I had the same issue.
I thought I’d try again after an hour and voila! It worked haha.
Great price for a 4K TV. Never thought it’d get a QLED TV for this price, especially with the Cashback!
Still does not work for me… Not sure if because of the pickup option or not.
Only one store around still have stock
Is it able to install apk from usb directly?
Yes, I installed “Prime video”, please don’t connect blue device when using Prime video, Prime video will not work.
Which location are you trying? Hoppers Crossing?
(Replying vantruongsinh but clicked the wrong reply!)
Pickup the last one at Chadstone. Store does not want to price match ebay. At the end, get the TV for $1110.
Buyer beware TCL don't reply to my emails or respond to phone calls. I've been 6 months trying to get a response from TCL for dead pixels after 2 months and they just go quiet every time.
I'm about to lodge a warranty claim to TCL. If they give the same shitty response I might fancy reporting them to ACCC. I haven't done it so I'm excited for the experience.
Would it be ACCC or Fair Trading that you would take warranty claims to? In the past, I've had great support from fair trading (NSW) in brokering an outcome from manufacturers who aren't responsive.
Price-matched at JB Hoppers Crossing.
Upgrading from 50" Panasonic Viera plasma which is still going strong.
Thank you, OP!
Can you post receipt from Jb HiFi. Thanks. Plan to go there too after duty.

Wow amazing they die it for you . Well I pushed buy now while in the jbhifi store and got a call 10 minutes later saying they are delivering it tommorow so it's a win
Was umming and ahhinga bout this for a few days but just dropped the cash on this tv, never had a 4k tv in the house before and the feedback/reviews for the price seem pretty great. Another case of out of stock for C&C but my local store called me to organise delivery from there regardless, go figure! Hope it is reliable
It seems the price has been increased
Any owner here have the problem with NTFS format?

My cashback claim was rejected as it was an eBay purchase :/
What type of receipt did you provide them when you submitted your claim?
mine was approved,
use the invoice that came with the TV delivery/pick up
I actually had to ask thegoodguys to email me a receipt/invoice as the delivery guys gave me nothing of the sort (I asked), and the invoice has 'ebay delivery' on it too which I suppose tcl didnt like
Same issue happened to me. Rejected by tcl then ask the tgg online store to get the proper tax invoice and do the claim again. I got email said the application has been approved. So I think your claim will be approved soon once you upload the proper tax invoice. GOOD LUCK.
