  • Wash and wax is on sale too, I just ran out too great

    https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/meguiars-meguiars-ultima…

    • I've seen this as low as $15 if you can hold out…

Is the yellow wash and wax better than Gold Class - as I've been using that yellow wash and wax for years.

      • I used yellow wash and wax in the past but prefer Gold Class if I use foam cannon.

  • will this foam up with a foam cannon?

    • Yes, as long as you use a decent electric pressure washer with a minimum 1700 PSI. Mine is a Karcher K3 and it works fine

      • Do you know if you can use the purple NXT wash with a snow cannon?

        • Haven't tried this one, I tried on the Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax and still find the Gold much better foaming

      • don't think mines that strong
currently using turtle wax one with a Gerni

    • What ratio of water to wash liquid do you use to get a good foaming consistency?

      • bottle is a 1L, I use 800 ml water with apprx 80ml-100ml wash so there is room to shake the bottle. This will last 2 cars medium size cars.

        • Do you use the Karcher one? We bought the Karcher FJ 10 C Connect ’n’ Clean Foam and Care Nozzle and it came with the Ultra Foam Cleaner so hoping this would work well with the Meguiar's. Ah just read back and see that you use the Foam Cannon. Hopefully it works as well with the Karcher one, will have to give it a go.

        • if you have a decent soap gun you don't need to shake the formula. I find just using warm water and later adding the gold class wash (sinks to the bottom of the bottle anyway) foams it up super nice with a good pressure washer. Warm water usually take the most dirt and dust off. Your proportions are spot on.

      • My snow cannon came with a little clear 100ml bottle, with a dividing line at 50ml. I use 50ml per car (per fill of the snow cannon bottle), and that covers each car just nicely :-). That's using the Gold class liquid…

How much do you use of this for the foam cannon for the whole car? that is one of the perrenial questions in my head with foam cannons. How much do you dilute it and then connect it to the K3 straw?

    • I use a 1:9 ratio with the Meguiar's Gold Class in my foam cannon. I use roughly 75mls - 100mls of concentrate per whole vehicle.

In my usage it's the best stuff to buy from the auto stores shelves when used for foam.

      100ml wash to 900ml water.

I find the foam pretty average with this dilution, so maybe try 150-200ml wash instead. Gold Class wash is a great wash, but not really intended to be a snow foam imo. It's just that Meguiar's hasn't developed a dedicated snow foam they market the Gold Class as one. If you want good foam, try Bowden's or Autoglym.

  • Will this strip away my $1000 paint protection?

    • +1

Probably not as well as the paint protection stripped money from your wallet.

    • To be honest, my understanding is 90% of standard paint protection (ie Ming etc) would probably last you a year or so and then will just fade out unless a proper ceramic paint protection which could last couple of years.

I personally don't think there is much difference to use foam cannon or just a bucket of water with car wash liquid. Just cleaning shouldn't strip them out.

  • How does this compare to the $17 1.9L soft gel wash? Or the $15 1.4L ultimate wash and wax from repco?

    • With no foam cannon, I will choose the ultimate wash & wax, never use the soft gel, but I am sure you could google some comparing video on youtube
