    If be more excited if a) childhood didn't end at 11 and b) it covered school holidays :(

    • +3

      Yep .. conveniently excludes the school holiday period.

      It irks me that 'child' has a clear and well established legal definition - and that businesses promote claims that completely ignore this meaning and substitute their own.
      It would be like me offering free weddings, and then saying that a wedding is actually a punch in the guts.

        Wouldn't it be more like offering a free wedding but not allowing people to redeem unless they're under 11 years old?

    For anyone that purchases this deal with an accompanying kids ticket and chooses a flexible ticket (allowing flight change), any chance whether you can check post-booking if flights can be adjusted to that in the black-out period (26-Mar-20 through 30-Apr-20) without charge? I'm curious how intelligent there booking system is!

      Flexible does not equal fixed price. You still have to pay a fare difference.

  • Kids already get discounts.

    I just checked Mel->SIn rtn. 2 adult, 2 ids.
    Qantas $2820, Virgin $2760.

    So the 50% off looks like ~$15/kid//flight. So more like 5% off

    • I don't quite understand your logic here. Could you explain?

      Also, this deal looks like it's only for flights domestically or to NZ. So doesn't include SIN.

      • Ah didn't realise it didn't include Sin, so my comments is pointless. (I was just trying to show how the kid fare didn't appear to be discounted…which if course its not.)

        I'll crawl back into my hole
