Loathe to give them any money after learning about the underpaying at Rockpool

      Same goes with Grill'd.

I don't disagree but in hospo everyone underpays. Your local cafe or Asian restaurant probably pay there staff sub 15 an hour so even less than Rockpool.

    • Now that it is out there Rockpool will have to pay the consequences but if you don't give them any business now, the staff will be out of the job.

      • True.
Local Asian restaurants usual rate is $10 cash per hour and of course no overtime pay so effectively less than $10/ hr in an usual working day.
Let's not forget Masterchef's George Calombaris's retaurant just months ago.

For National Cheeseburger Day last month, they had the $5 Cheeseburgers. After lining up for 20 odd minutes (Bourke St, Melb) got told 1 per person. Wouldn't have bothered if I knew that.

Do not bother with this deal. This deal is absolutely rubbish. Tried to order 2 at World Square Sydney. The staff says 1 per customer
Where the specification it's only one per customer? What does it mean by or "several depends on hungry you are"? Where are the terms and conditions to specify 1 per person? This deal is just a marketing ploy. A dumb poor exploit.

  • Aah woops I forgot about this and already got home… no way I'm going back out.

  • I had the burgers and it was an absolute ripper. Liked how the made it so simple yet perfectly cooked. That's how it is to grill a burger.
