Frank Insurance - No Wait Period on Any Extras

51

I've seen plenty of offers waiving the 2 and 6 month waiting periods for health insurance, but never for all extras. If you need to get major dental work done sign up, get the work done that week, and then cancel. Easy!

The level of cover is reasonable. Whilst not as good as the 'big boys', you don't have to wait for it. Individual limits can be found at http://www.frankhealthinsurance.com.au/quickquote/quickquote…

Blurb from the website:

We've all heard the same old 'no waiting periods on most extras' offers from other health insurers.

Big deal.

Frank knows you want cover now. Frank likes simple. So when Frank says no waiting periods on any extras, that's exactly what Frank means. No catches, no loopholes, no fine print, no asterisks.

Sign up for combined hospital and extras cover before July 31, and claim on all your extras straight away.

Want physio? Done. Need glasses? Ok. Want to claim on major dental straight away? Deal.

Frank's covers are simple and low cost. Get 50% or 80% back on extras, claim online, and get health insurance you can understand. No jargon, no BS.

Ready for cover you can use right now?

  • didn't think legally they where allowed to do this (though that came from on of those large companies)

"Frank" is a new brand name for GMHBA insurance, a company that's been around for a very long time. They were mainly a regional insurer (Geelong, VIC) but thanks to online services like iselect they have grown to be national. "Frank" is their attempt at being trendy and appealing to younger markets.

  • who the hell is frank insurance?

no thanks, I'll stick with medibank private.

  • some major dental need 12 months waiting period, such as crown

  • I'm confused about the Hospital cover options. 'Basic' cover seems to cover more stuff than 'Better' cover, in particular the pregnancy related stuff AND it's cheaper???

  • More expensive compared to my current provider & lower yearly limit for optical & dental (general)

    • who you with ?

      • I'd like to know as well!

    • Beaten!

I'm not a rep, just someone who needs to get some major dental done and doesn't have major dental cover with my current insurer. If you already have major dental cover then it's not for you. But if you don't then it is a good deal.
No major dental needs wait period, including crown etc. I'm not advocating their insurance, but this part of it is a good deal.
