  • best dashcam for uber (according to the amazon reviews)

Great post OP! Please, allow me share few things :)

I have spent the last few weeks looking deep into dashcams. I would like to share what I have found.

You can find cheaper ones with the same quality and without battery. Battery will just increase the device temperature, prefer the one with capacitors. Since you will have it connect to your car battery or only turn it on while driving, the battery is useless.
The rear angle is only 140.

If you don't care about the battery, a cheaper one with awesome quality, 170 angle in both cameras, 1080P: TOGUARD Uber Dual Dash Cam Full HD 1080P+1080P https://www.amazon.com.au/TOGUARD-Outside-Dashboard-G-Sensor…
Starting in 4:43 see how big and clean it is inside due to the 170 lens. Compare the difference with Vantrue one: https://youtu.be/037Z5LFztWQ?t=283

Another option: Blueskysea B2W Dual Lens Dash Cam
1080P, capacitors instead of battery, but unfortunately it is only 132 angle https://www.amazon.com.au/Blueskysea-Compatible-Infrared-Sta…

I might end buying the mirrors solution ones such as Campark R10. Usually they have no battery, only capacitors, it goes on top of your current mirror that usually is small anyways, its secondary camera is to be installed at the back of the car to get those hit-and-run, the entire mirror is the screen, can be installed to the car's battery, etc.
Since I want to have one inside pointing to me to avoid those "Ohhhh your were using your mobile. Driver license please" | I will buy a small one with infrared.

All the options above are under $200.

Make sure your choices will cover front, rear and inside. Does not matter if you have to mix cameras. This guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yESBjO0CrA0 has only 7 different cameras inside of his big car covering almost all the angles.
Here in Australia is getting popular people doing brake-check scam for money, hit-and-run, etc.

You don't wanna be "Neo - Mr Thomas Anderson" hahaha
