These are great for babies and toddlers. Place on the inside of cupboards and drawers. Best life hack ever.

Why are you attaching your toddler to the inside of a cupboard or drawer?

      • +1

Obviously it's easier to find them that way.

      • +1

I think it's a good idea, I'm just not sure if they'll take the weight.

        • +1

Use 4 for 7.3kg - good for 4y.o. and under. May need more for older kids.

    • and seriously is there a useful toddler life hack ? I'm not following

I guess you can make a cupboard or drawer soundproof? That way you won't need to turn up the TV as much.

    • Can you explain how?

      • +4

More resistance required to open a door or cupboard.

    • Baby as door stoppers?

  • White out of stock at 5.70? Purchased 2 black ones

    • The white ones are still in stock I just checked

  • Is it cash rewards or Shopback for 2 bucks?

    Edit . Got cash rewards

  • Wouldn’t it be cheaper to buy a pack with 14 pairs?

  • Do not trust this in hanging you picture frame.

    • Yep, after a year or so, my clock fell off the wall at 3am :)

    • Had 9 pictures in our hallway held up with these for nearly 2 years. No issues.
Better to put it on all 4 edges of a frame for even distribution.

  • They really hold 7.2kg?

    • +2

      Underwater, yes.

I have only used the ‘hook’ versions of these, but here is a top tip to get the best from the 3M adhesive.

    Tip:

Make sure to clean the area of the wall surface you intend to apply the adhesive to.
I just use a bit of pine-o-clean (or equivalent) to wipe down the area & just as important is to wait for the surface to dry.
(This can be sometimes tricky since you need to remember exactly where you intended to place the adhesive, it only takes a minute to dry so just be patient and remember where you wiped).

If the area of the wall is particularly dirty or textured making you think it may have trouble sticking, I sometimes use alcohol to wipe the area (dries quicker too).

Also as per instructions, straight after the strip is applied, before moving to the next step it is important you put pressure on the strip for about 30 seconds.

With this method I have never had a 3M hook come off.
As long as the weight of what you are hanging is below the weight limit I think it should be fine.
(In the case of putting up a frame with the product in this deal, I imagine you will calculate the weight limit per strip times the number of strips.)

    • put pressure on the strip for about 30 seconds.

And with the hook product you can put the plastic hook on, but it is recommended you wait 1 hour before putting anything on the hook.

(With the picture frame after putting the strips on the wall, I would wait 1 hour before peeling the other side of the double-sided adhesive, and securing the picture frame.)

Deal isn't that great. $1.091 each in a 14 pack from Amazon AU. Much faster delivery and cheaper per unit than the 4 pack coming from the US.

I think people are taking advantage of the $2 cashback https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/490506

That said the 12 pack ($0.91) is cheaper than the 4 pack ($0.925) and the 14 pack ($0.95) with the $2 bonus.

    • 4 vs 14 pairs really isn't that much of a comparison

  • Anyone compared prices of these packs and the Costco multipack?
