  • here's a tip for fellow ozbargainers - the youtube video linked is a waste of time. Has a few pretty graphics and a shot of the product - but not how it works, nor any footage of the product in action. Superb stuff

      Hi JV,

Don't worry some of us in the office thought the same thing. Glad to see others have the same sense of humour as us.

  • This is one of the best toys ever, i have the same but it is the lg version, very cool making an empty box a speaker, the best sound i have found is connect it to a metal filing cabinet and it sounds absolutely awesome…….

    • Hi Mikinoz,

Have you tried it on a wheelie bin or the wheel arch of a car? We have had a lot of fun around the office trying this out on different objects.

  • Why does it vibrate?

    • -1

      Why not?

    • +1

If it's a genuine question, it vibrates to move the object it's attached to and subsequently move air which is detected by the air as sound..
As the descriptions says, these turn any object into a speaker…

      Hi dkslim,

This product uses vibrations to make different objects vibrate and in turn produce sound. This is why it works great with cardboard boxes, wheelie bins, cars (wheels arch and bonnet work the best), plastic bowls, Pringles tins and other things like that.

    • Hi djones145,

We do offer the standard Australian warranty with our goods. Also when you order from us they will be sent within 24 to 48 hours and depending upon where in Australia you are and the type of postage option you choose, you can get it in as quick as 2 business days.

what is the standard australia warranty? 1 year?

so it comes down to this
        20 bucks free shipping
        vs
        23 + 16 shipping, 40 bucks

so the risk is will 2 last longer than 1 with warranty

        • Hi djones145,

Yes the standard Australian warranty is 1 year and protects the consumer in the event that the product fails. For the overseas bought product more likely than not you will have to pay the shipping costs and the product itself may not be covered by a warranty.

Our prices are low given our overheads, something which we are happy to discuss with anyone who feels our prices are not reasonable. Depending upon your location you should be able to select a cheaper shipping option than $16.

    • Umm that's aliexpress, regular china post, best guess it would take 3 weeks to post, only 8 feedback, company might dissapear at anytime. EMS is $16 making that AU version well worth it after factoring in delivery time, you could probably get audio vibes to make it a few $$ cheaper too.

      • Hi xDEFiNE,

We didn't actually spot that it was China Post but you are right in the postal time. From our own experience and the experience of others the delivery times can range from 1 week up to 4 weeks depending upon quite a few factors.

Well spotted, and to show our appreciation register on our website then email us at [email protected] and we will send you a gift.

  • You can get the Original VibeHolic Speakers from eBay for $14.98 with FREE Shipping, why should I but this for $20~ more…, please advise ?

    • Hi scan06disk,

Happy to answer that query if you can provide the link. We understand there is a lot available from overseas, however our products are currently in Australia and shipped from our warehouse. Furthermore we provide a 12 month warranty and can provide excellent postal service.

  • This is ~$28 including shipping from Amazon US. Yes, they ship it to Australia without the need for an intermediary service.

    Downside - 8-16 days delivery.

    • Hi tantryl,

Unfortunately we can't compete with Amazon, but on the upside we can generally deliver Express Post (That's usually next business day) for about $35. The added bonus is we are in Australia so dealing with us can be easier than the big guns overseas.

  • Hi all

No doubt there are many of you out there that have seen the AliExpress link from djones145 and are wondering how we come up with our prices. Let us shed some light on this to make it as transparent as we possibly can.

Our product at this discount price costs $23.96, from this we are required to pay the below

    • Warehousing costs (We prefer to store it in Australia as opposed to overseas, which is common on Ebay)
    • Website hosting fees (We use an SSL to protect any information you provide us with)
    • Admin Fees (Someone has to process the orders and post them to you on time)
    • General Expenses (We are a proper company so have to follow ASIC rules and get an accountant to do their number crunching)

There are other expenses on top of this but this gives you a general idea. Like you, we don't appreciate paying ridiculously high prices especially when the Australian dollar is at an all time high. This product sold through retail outlets in the US costs around $40 to $50, and doesn't include delivery.

If you think we charge too much, then let us know. All feedback is greatly welcome.

    Cheers

do u have to send it back to manufacturers to get fixed?
    or will u repair it?

am interest in getting a set of speakers, not sure which type for my optus mytab

    • Hi djones145,

Unfortunately the lawyers have our hands tied on this and we have to direct you to our website here https://audiovibes.com.au/index.php?main_page=shippinginfo It also avoids us giving conflicting information, however if your questions aren't answered on there then feel free to shoot us an email at [email protected]

From our experiences here at AudioVibes we would recommend the AudioVibes X-Pad Printed Speaker if you are mainly using it indoors either in the office or at home. The AudioVibes X-Sticker Vibrating Speaker is great for camping, at the beach, parties and on holiday. However we use the Vibrating Speaker in the office and have it stuck to our metal filing cabinet.

      • If your lawyers have prevented you from publically stating your warranty procedure, you're not going to get many customers from OzBargain.

        That screams "no warranty".

        • Hi tantryl,

If you look on our website the warranty procedure is stated there, we provided the link in the previous post for convenience. The website is accessible by anyone and as such our warranty procedure is publicly stated.

What we want to avoid doing is re-stating it anywhere else as this can cause confusion amongst people who no longer have a single source of reference for our warranties. Furthermore we would be required to re-state it word for word which would take up too much room in the comments section.

If you would like a copy of our warranty procedure let us know and we will send you a copy, however it is worth noting this will be no different to the version on our website.

You should also be aware that all Australian companies are required by law to provide a minimum 12 month warranty. Hence your statement of 'That screams "no warranty"' is inaccurate.

        • Fair enough on the link. It's just bloody odd that a lawyer would step in and advise you not to state your warranty anywhere but a single location under your control that you could edit at will.

If everyone did what was required by law of them to do, then the majority of the justice system including your lawyer probably wouldn't exist.

An unwillingness to state your warranty procedure in a public forum you have no control over is fishy as hell, regardless of your intention.

        • Hi tantryl,

You make a good point about it seeming fishy that we would not state our warranty procedure in a public forum that we have no control over.

I think you will find that a lot of companies only have their warranty in a single location and normally under their control. The reason for this is if various versions are found which have been put up by the company then by law companies are required to honour it. Furthermore if it is under someone else control then changes can be made.

We do include a copy of our warranty with all our products so we are bound by that as well as our version on our website.

Thanks for your comments and hopefully you are happy with our response but feel free to let us know if you aren't happy with our response.

          Cheers
