Seems to be an alright deal on these rain jackets, here's two on offer:
Basic parka $99.90 now $79.90
Fishtail parka $149.90 now $79.90.
Anyone has one to comment on the waterproofness?

i thought they were called puffy thot jackets
I don't think it claims to be waterproof?
I would not trade this over a proper waterproof jacket i.e. a Gore-Tex jacket.
In simplified terms there's essentially two things that affect 'waterproofness':
a. the material itself (i.e. how water can physically get through e.g. how big the pores in the fabric is)
b. he DWR coating (durable water repellent coating) which is the special coating put on the material to make water bead off of it
There's also effects on breathability but that's not directly waterproofness, this is why something like a cheap poncho can be totally waterproof (because it comes at the cost of any breathability).
I think this is a good price for this though because I've seen them and they feel decent.
I have the basic parka, great value at $79. Between this and my ultra light down vest, I had a very comfortable Melbourne winter.
I have the fishtail parka. Echoing what @Hamlet said, it's good enough for light urban rains (although I'm of the opinion that you don't even need a raincoat for that level of rain) and can block light wind. More a fashion piece than functional tbh.
I have the basic parka. It's stylish, fits well, and the material feels good. It's not water resistant though; it's just water repellant — which means it's functional in light urban rains but not for outdoor hikes or skiing. $79 is good value for it.
