Yea they've been trying to get rid of them for about a month now.
this has 550 fill but quite thin, not great for Melb winter on colder days and cold nights.
If you layer then it's fine.
I get where he's coming from.
I have a men's heli and for the colder winter nights (which are now gone), layering is definitely essentially as this isnt super thick.
I guess these are more targeted towards travelers, where if you are hiking etc you would only choose layers rather than just have a crazy warm jacket that if you take off your are freezing or leave on and you are sweating.
I find if you want a casual down jacket, often Myer have great deals on them. I got a thick down jacket by super dry for $100 a few weeks ago.
after discount, still too expensive. went to the store to checked it out, super thin.
only thing worth the money is the brand, i guess…. i can get something similar or even thicker on another brandMy friend bought a $50 thicker one from Aldi, after one year the zipper is broken. It seems to have been worn for five years already.
Heli!!!! last time i was at Highpoint Shopping centre , half of people were wearing the same jacket.
