Firstly, superior warranty- all stand mixers have 5 year warranty. Kitchenaid only gives you 2 years

Secondly, the mixing is far superior in that the Kenwoods reaches parts of the bowl a Kitchenaid struggles to get to.
I believe kitchenaid also has 5 year warranty for stand mixers.
1200W motor vs 300W. Even the $1300 Kitchenaids only have 300w motors.

kitchenaid gearboxes don't like heavy loads and fail if you make a lot of dough and the motors are underpowered at similar price points to the chef.
I am tempted to buy this mixer but would like one where you can add extensions such as a grinder, mincing attachment etc.
I used to have an Aldi stand mixer, did the job ok and died just under 3 years. It was still under warranty, they didn't have any parts to repair it so they refunded my $100. Not bad.
The Aldi mixer was good for the money, but you couldn't put 1kg of flower and make dough, which would end up weighing at least 1.5kg when you add water. I had to divide my dough into 2 or 3 batches.
Does anyone of you know if this mixer can make 2-3kg of dough at a time? If so then it is worth the 300% more money than the Aldi's mixer, if not then i'll just wait for them to come up with a new line of standing mixers which usually comes out around this period of the year.

@Bargin Boy: Cheers, I got the mixer yesterday, as I'm writing my comment I am making my first batch of bread dough. SO far seems to be a solid unit. I can tell it's a powerful motor inside by the sound of it, hopefully all the gears inside are built to last too
good unit, far superior to even the more expensive Kitchenaids
