    Got one already
    Just great.
Clearly cheaped out on the hose etc but you can live with it.
The suction is very, very good though.

( I haven't tested the water suction yet)

And you can put the hose on the air outlet and make it a blower.

I'm currently doing some renos and this thing….I should have bought it 2 months ago.
    So good.

  • This vac is VERY loud. sorry what is that?

I regret buying it. yeah you can cover your ears but its a nuisance having to do that all the time.

Will be buying a different brand at some point.

    • At that spec, just add a 0 on front of 39 and all set. For the others, 39$ works just fine.

    • This vac is VERY loud.

      Wow - that sucks….

    • for the ease of cleaning after a bit of woodworking & price point, how does one 'regret' the purchase? lol..it's a $40 wet/dry vacuum…I have the Ryobi version and yes its loud but the ease and time saved makes it a dream to use imo.

      • Thats justifying the $40 over the noise of the thing. You may look at it that way I dont. I made a bad purchase and will look for anther one.

Sell it on scumtree if you haven't already for $20 and consider it a hiring fee.

    • I've got one and never really noticed it's any louder than any other barrel vac. I think the "suck" is about as strong as my corded barrel one was.

Much much much better than my Dyson cordless.

    • I have a Shopvac, it's loud too.
I put on my ear muffs protection.

  • Any idea if these can be used to suck crap out of a submerged pool filter basket? Whenever I empty the basket, plenty of crap gets left behind that I'd rather not go through the filter.

    • I’m currently using the 20 litre version to suck the sand and water out of my sand filter and it is doing an amazing job - if anything, it’s suction is too powerful and a little difficult to control around the bottom of the filter where you have to be careful not to damage the plastic…

    • Was thinking to get this to suck the water and dirt off the pool cover before taking it off so that it doesn't go into the pool. The battery version might be better though so I don't have to lug an extension cord out there. Also, not sure what the salt water would do to it.

  • The link to the page with the 4.0Ah battery shows it as $69.

Could it be only some Bunnings stores?

I refreshed the page in my browser, now showing $39.

      • While not quite what you're on about, note that the Bunnings website is State-dependent.

Some States have stuff that other States don't.

  • I have the vacuum, it really sucks

    • thats a good thing though? vacuums are meant to suck

    • Like your jokes.

  • And like clockwork my local is out of stock of 4Ah batteries.

    • Go to special orders.

    • Looks like you can order online for delivery to store now?

      • I don't see that on the site? Where do I do that?

        • Do you mean this?

*Click & Collect is currently available in Tasmania, Victoria, South Australia and ACT. Delivery is currently available in Tasmania, South Australia and ACT.

LOL. Yes I'm at out of that area. Maybe next decade.

          • @adam-07: Ahh sorry, didn't know it was a limited roll out.

For the privileged few it just gives you the option to select click and collect or delivery for a heap of items now.

  • I'm looking for a bagless shop vac with a washable filter, no consumables. Does anyone know if this vacuum or the Aldi one currently on sale have a washable filter?

The Ozito manual says it has an optional filter, but doesn't say if the filter is disposable. Anyone used it without the filter, how well does it work? I mostly want to clean up sawdust.

    • +2

The Ozito manual says: wet vacumming - foam filter; dry vacuuming: dust bag and (consumable) filter bag. You may be able to get away with not using the filter bag if you are just vacuuming dust. Or you could make a DIY filter bag yourself out of cloth and some sewing.

The other one's I've seen have a filter that looks like a car filter. All the ones to $200 have consumables as far as I can tell.

  • Is the Aldi wet/dry vac deal on? Can't see it in my Aldi email & have been waiting for this all year.

    • On sale Sat 19/10

  • How does this wet/dry vacuum compare with the Aldi one? They both look very similar from the specs.

    The Phantom loves Price Hipster.

  • How good is the sucker on cleaning up spills on bed mattress?
