Very happy with mine, this is set to 105 on the dial;

A brisket is about the same as doing it on a real traeger.
You'll cop the AO algorithm on pricing I guess.

$30 off $300+ spend for You and Your Friend (New Customers).
Graph is from my http://meater.com
Next brisket I'll put a tray of water on the top rack too.
Nice one. You would be a hard person to buy a birthday/Christmas gift for lol.
Maybe a top quality juicy steak for your next smoking barbecue haha.
That looks like a solid gadget…..do you recommend it?
Got to risk it for the brisket!
you can get similar logging/graphs from non-wireless thermometers alslo
These are Bluetooth not wireless. So pretty similar to other brands
@asa79: Yeah but more expensive (and possibly problematic) due to the entire unit being 'in' the thermometer
The ones I was referencing are thermometer probes, on a cable, connected to a head unit outside the bbq which is then bt or wifi to your phone app
Easier to replace thermometer probes which do fail from time to time.
@SBOB: But the wireless ones probably help cook the meat a little quicker yeah?
Can you upgrade control panel to wifi one?
how many kg of pellets did you need for that cook?
Find a good source of pellets before you commit to buying a pellet smoker. Looks like we pay $4/kg for pellets here from a bunch of places which turns into an expensive proposition when these things are burning 0.5kg - 1.5kg / hr depending on what heat you have it on.
Should've posted a picture of the brisket, cool graph though.
If you want super steady temperatures you can always upgrade the controller to a PID, but imo it's not really an important factor to creating good BBQ
