290

Hi All,

Noticed this on Catch earlier when checking out Ragzs 1st post - Brings Pacifico Beer from $39 down to $24 Delivered ;)

As an example you can get a case of Goose Island for $20 Delivered

Looks like LatitudePay is used as a checkout option for Catch & Harvey Norman - seems you can check out fairly simple and sign up is simple enough via checkout

https://www.latitudepay.com/

What is LatitudePay?
To put it simply, LatitudePay is an easy, no-nonsense way to buy the things you want in 10 weekly instalments, instead of all at once.

Once you’ve signed up to LatitudePay and purchased the goods you’ve had your eyes on, all you'll need to do is pay 10% upfront. Then you’ll be able to pay off the remaining balance in 9 weekly automatic payments.

Will I be charged interest with LatitudePay?
Absolutely not. As long as each instalment is paid on time, you won’t have to pay anymore than the purchase price.

Although there is a $10 late fee for missed payments, LatitudePay will send a reminder to keep you on track. That’s the beauty about using this payment system - zero nasty surprises!

Where can I use LatitudePay?
Both in stores and online, and that includes at Catch! Once you’re happy with the goods in your cart, simply select LatitudePay at the checkout and you’re good to go.

Now you can take advantage of our Screamin’ Good Deals and spread out your payments over 10 weeks with LatitudePay. How good is that? Just remember to sign up beforehand.

How do I manage my LatitudePay Account?
If you want to view your purchases, see when payments are due, change the payment day to suit you, or even pay off your remaining balance early, simply log in to your account on the LatitudePay website. You can also update other details online.

Who can use LatitudePay?
According to the LatitudePay website:

“You need to be a permanent Australian resident or hold an Australian temporary visa with at least 12 months remaining. You must be at least 18 years old. LatitudePay will also need to complete an identification check, so have your ID handy (for example, a valid Australian driver’s licence or Australian passport), and have a Visa/Mastercard debit or credit card.”

So what are you waiting for? Enjoy all that LatitudePay has to offer by shopping at Catch - Australia’s favourite online superstore.

Expires 12th January 2020

Enjoy!

Does signing up involve credit check?

    • Yes i'd be curious to know if this affects my credit rating.

    From savings.com.au:

    So how does LatitudePay work?
LatitudePay boasts it’ll only take 90 seconds to sign up to the platform.

After plugging in your details online you’ll be subject to a credit and ID check.

A Latitude Financial Services spokesperson told Savings.com.au that these checks are vitally important.

“We want to ensure that our customers are not over-committed.

“While we are inclusive, we are committed to acting responsibly, so we will only provide credit to those who have a sufficient credit score.”

Once approved you’ll be able to purchase Harvey Norman items online or in-store at approved retailers up to $1,000.

Might save a inquiry on my credit for $15

Theresa reason why Latitude Pay is being pushed at the moment. The company plans to float on the ASX by the middle of Oct 2019 (and the need prove themselves in the coming quarters that show an increase of customers).

Side note: if you are planning to subscribe to the IPO, please do yourself a favour and do some research (eg. Hotcopper). I personally wouldn’t touch it - however, it’s not financial advice and my 2 cents only.

  • Is this basically just another Afterpay?

    • -2

No it’s the old go master card renamed still get charged heaps of interest and up to $5 a month account keeping fees plus a sign up fee I think

      • I did have a look and from what I can tell it just takes the full purchase price from the merchant (disregarding the $15 discount at Catch) and then splits it over X number of instalments with no fees/interest except if you don't make payment on time?

        • Correct, splits it up over 10 weeks.

Got approved in less than 2 minute, only did it to grab the catch offer…YMMV

afterpay doesn't require a credit check. this is more like zip money: https://zip.co/how-zip-works?data-elevio-module=1

Just signed up, exact copy of Afterpay but 10 split payments instead of 4. No big credit check, but you do need to give drivers licence/passport details. Your get $400 approved instantly and they increase it depending on your spending habits. Discount applied at checkout too easy.

    • Initial spending limit varies from person to person. I got approved for $500

For $15 I not giving my data . Not just the credit check the privacy issues of them and partners bombarding other offers . I think if you must the juicy CC offers kick this into the ground eg $500 offer going around now .

    • +1

What CC deal are you referring to?

    • If you think your data & info you don't want others to have, is not already plastered all over the world, you're dreaming.

Wow ….. extending $400 credit to a new customer who's first purchase is cheap beer which can be repaid in 10 installments.

Bring on the IPA …… whoops,IPO.
