Some “ammo” to use at:
* Officeworks: 5% price beat

    WOW, the cheapest model with big storage for 1400!!

    • I’m not actually going to buy from them… just spoke to local JB who will match. Assuming Officeworks would do the same.

      • show them Costco price to save more

    any other grey importers for iphone 11 pro's?

  • That company looks sketchy as hell, but I’ll take a punt at an officeworks price match tomorrow lunchtime if anyone tries their luck and succeeds.

    • lots of negative reviews of this site in previous bargains.

  • Why someone would bother about $30 more buying from apple directly rather than ordering from potential troublesome grey import?

      Completely agree! (See description and above comment).

      $30, becomes over $100 with OW price beat

    Doesn't seem like Officeworks makes it easy to price match grey imports esp bcextech based on these past comments?

    For those considering a grey import - check for compatibility with Band 28.

    Officeworks hasn't matched grey imports my last 4 attempts :)

    • The only clause removed was the one regarding warranty. Still has to be an identical stocked item. These are not. We're not allowed to match becextech due to ACCCs findings anyway. That's not to say you won't get lucky one time.

    My son bought the iPhone 8 from this bunch of crooks. Was bought brand new but he had issues with the phone so took it to the Apple store. Turns out the phone was imported from Europe, and was refurbished and 2 years old (again he bought it as advertised new).

    Apple could see all the history on their system. In addition the battery was refurbished and was non genuine and faulty which is the reason he brought it into the Apple store.

    Apple were great and replaced it for a new iPhone 8. Buyer beware buying from these crooks.

    We also contacted ACCC who have completed an investigation on them: https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/catchdeal-techrific-an…
