Need a deal on a 7 black or DJI osmo pocket.
Surely with the 8 announced last night we will start seeing some deals for these two!

it appears gopro are making the 7 black = 8 silver and the 7 silver = 8 white … since they are both still for sale on the gopro website (just my hypothesis) as such even though i hope the 7 black will drop in price, it might not significantly anyway
They have actually done that for a few years now (Last years black becomes this years silver etc), seems this year they didnt actually rebrand to the silver, white.
The 8 black received a $50 price cut in the states.. Best price i can see historically in aus for the 7B is $399 at Goodguys - ideally id like to see this again
Hmm, didn't know they'd done it before. I guess it's a good marketing stratergy to get rid of old stock.

Im acutally leaning towards the dji osmo pocket at this point but if i could get the 7B for $399 ill be tempted

i've been tossing between the 2 aswell, it appears the the DJI may have problems with their stability software (as does the 7 black) tuff choice

After hearing about the GP8/GP Max overnight, I'm seriously considering ditching my Osmo Pocket for the GP Max - it just seems so much more versatile than the Pocket
Its certainly an interesting beast the MAX, i agree the versatility would be great. Having not edited that type of footage before i wonder how challenging it would be.
Interested to see if the live stream from the MAX is just from the front lens or if you can pan around.
Also - $799 ouch.
Yeah, Pocket has been great but not without its limitations (eg not water proof, rigid, hard to mount, tiny screen, narrow view, etc), the MAX does sound like a beast - I can't wait to see YouTube reviews.
Re price, if history repeats, Gopro tends to come down in price closer to Christmas, fingers 🤞!
8 Black already announced, other than the exterior looks more like a software update than anything.
