That 40 items max requirement is a PIA - took me ages to shuffle my cards.

    The Phantom approach:

    • Start by checking out 1/2 priced items.
    • Then check out heavy crap that you don't want to carry.
    • Then add a few higher-priced items you generally buy anyway.
    • Then shuffle the cheaper crap out until you hit the magic 40 items @ $99.00.
    • Forget to use Shopback/Cashrewards as you obsess with your deck of cards.
    • How long did it take to settle on your final basket of items?

      • Long enough to render me a basket case.

BTW no Shopback/Cashrewards on eBay at the moment anyway, unless you want to use the app…

        • Always Qantas FF points to fall back on in times of trouble…

There doesn't seem to be anything stopping you from making multiple ebay plus trials and doing multiple orders…??

  • -1

Got this as best supermarket deal I've seen here . New catalogue starts tomorrow if this one does not suit .
The guys overflowing with Ebay GC's a little use :)

    • +1

Bear in mind offer can disappear anytime :)

I think this factor dominates the others - good thinking though.

  • +2

New catalogue out. Get your 2nd, 3rd, 4th accounts ready for round 2 on wed

  • -1

    Just ordered. good find!

    • Good find is the one shared

  • Anyone tried making new accounts to get more eBay plus trial accounts?

    Seems like easy $49 saving

    • yeah but it looks like its stopping me at 3rd order,

"You already applied this code to an order."

    • It seems to work for me, haven't submitted a 2nd order tho

  • Tried putting through an order for delivery to 2141 but I keep on getting the below error. Am I out of the zone?

"This item can't be purchased because this item can't be sent to your postage address"

  • -1

Took me 1.5 hours to do it but finally found enough items. Thanks OP.

  • -6

Does it need to be exactly $99? because the items in my cart shows $105.

    • If only the description answered that question… “ when you spend $99 or more in one transaction during the Offer Period”

        Were you spying on me?

  • Got 38 items @ $99.88 and keeps getting:

“Sorry, we can’t complete your checkout at this time. Please try changing your item quantity or check your account status “

Is anyone getting this? I got Ebay Plus but also has multiple quantity of the same items, is that the issue?

    • That's a little odd - certainly not the message i was getting when i was over the 40 item limit…

    • some items are out of stock

      • None of the items are out of stock but could be inventory not update fast enough.

    • Try changing your ebay primary address. It worked for me after that.

  • If I buy stuff that's on this week's catalogue does it have to be delivered by tomorrow? Or it doesn't matter?

    • +1

      no, doesn't matter

    • +1

They'll give you choices for delivery.

For me they nominated some BS period on Thu - 6am till 12pm. Of course i changed it. Times very late in the day seem to only require a 2-hour window.

      • I just got that too for Friday. Going to change it. Apparently theres Weekend delivery as well lol

  • Will this turn up in sealed boxes to my house or in unsealed bags?

    • Looking at how Coles deliver to my neighbour who has a locked gate, thrown over the fence item by item, no bags and no boxes.

    • Depends on your delivery driver. Mine walks into the kitchen for me

  • Great find by op,thanks. Successfully put in order. Put in Geelong address which was accepted in case any
    body is interested.Cheers.

  • Now The Phantom wasn't a member of eBay Plus, but when he went to buy two unrelated (non-Coles) items (maybe at least one needs to be an eBay Plus item - dunno) so that the total was over $30, he received an offer to save $20 on the order if he joined eBay Plus. So he went to join eBay Plus (paid $49.00) and immediately received a $20.00 eBay voucher (only lasts 48 hours) and he's pretty sure you don't have to continue with the original order - that is you can use the voucher on anything (though it's possible it's restricted to eBay Plus items).

Then he did the Coles thing as a new member of eBay Plus.

That bunch of words may be useful to others.

    • +1

      Thanks Billy Zane.

  • are you able to sign up on a free ebay plus trial and get this offer?

    • Yes

  • Anyone bought "Horny Goat Weed - For Him - PUT THE SPARK BACK INTO YOUR LOVE LIFE" over here? Being half price seems to be pretty good deal and 32 sold in last 24 hours - seems like a lot of people needing this???

    • Several million Australian ebay users. 32 doesn't seem like a particularly high number.

  • Not available in Canberra

    • WHAT!!

    • -2

      Here, have a bong.

  • +1

You can pass the 40 items limits by simply shopping over 100$

    I could buy 80 items
When I increased the value like this,
You can try and play around to find the exact amount

    Subtotal AU $129.95
    Postage Free
    Total voucher amount -AU $49.00
    Total AU $80.95

  • +1

    great

  • +2

selection of items available is poor. Doesn't have the stuff i want to buy. I can't even fill up to $50.

    • Very bad there only 6,733 products .

      I'll start my next order with 5 X $3 Vita Brix 1 KG at $3 each .

  • I got following error when applied the code. "The code cannot be applied to you order". Is someone has the same error?

    • Yep got the same and have been trying things to make it work with no luck

  • Thanks OP. Stocks up head&shoulder shampoo, dettol body wash, instant nescafe. Almost yearly supply sorted haha. But I will see how they gonna sort out huge amount of orders like this. Last time they cancelled my order as items not in stock. Not a good experience with this ebay store.

    • Does anyone know whether we lose a proportion of the $49 voucher credit value depending on how much is out of stock?

  • I purchased items at around 10:05 this morning and have not received any email regarding delivery date and time… how long does the email normally take?

    • I've got it in 15 mins after Paypal Transaction email.

  • +2

SCORE!!! i was the 1000 + voter <3 i get a smile for my win

    • -3

nice one, i put a special mark on there for your achievement

  • Awesome deal - thanks doweyy (and thanks for the cheap ebay plus link too)!

  • So good. Purchased exactly $99 for $49 savings.

  • +1

Hmmm. Great deal on paper, but I had half a dozen items disappear from availability in the 30 mins it took me to find what I was after.

So many items - even on their own homepage - weren't available having sold out earlier. With sale counts of 60, 80 or 100 for the day. Pretty poor inventory management for such an expensive promo. Not sure I've been motivated to use Ebay for my next grocery shop.

/Woolies breathes a big sigh of relief at having preserved another Ozbargainer…/

    • +2

Same. Things kept disappearing from my cart before I could submit an order. Annoying.

  • Hi Thanks for the posting
I got the following message when I try to apply the code even though my total is AUD 123

"We can't apply this code until you reach the minimum order total."

    Any ideas regarding this

    • Same for me, just wasted 30 mins to complete selection…

  • Is Gold Coast regarded as part of Brisbane metropolitan area?
I don't want to spend 1-2 hrs to put things in the cart and then told that not eligible.
    Thanks

    • Hi I’m in Maudsland and managed to get an order through

    • so spend 5 minutes putting lots of the same expensive item to get over $99 and try whether you are eligible.

probably be quicker than waiting for a reply here

  • Can I do multiple transactions of above 99$ and get 49$ off?

    • No, as it states in the title.

  • A bit dull, but I went for the current top washing powders of Choice:
    3 x 5kg OMO Ultimate (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173940824717)
    1 x 1.8kg Sard Super Power (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173858219528)
    $99.50 value discounted to $50.50.
    Thanks Op!

    • Seriously..why you pay so much for washing powder?! Unless you work in mud and dirt every day I take?

      • I have kids!
But yer, I'd be getting washing powder from Aldi if it was more convenient to get to.
