Guys I own one of these and for the price it's a good all-round TV. It plays most standard Divx movies via USB or DVD as well. The only draw back is the sound is a little tinny sometimes and the viewing angle/contract ratio is what you'd expect for the price. I bought this one for around $330 a year ago as not many smaller TV's were Full HD with DVD, USB and memory card slots. Good buy for $179, if you want a cheapy for the shed, bedroom… This is a good buy.

Is it possible to buy TVs in this size with good vertical viewing angles, or are they all TN-based nowadays? Can't decide whether it's finally worth replacing the 34cm kitchen TV or if something like this DSE would look little better than a cheap computer monitor (which would be a downgrade from the little CRT in colour/contrast and viewing angle).

    • I know what you mean. Especially if it is being used in a kitchen, you will invariable be moving around alot and therefore will not always have a direct viewing angle of the screen.

  • Nothing I know of beats a CRT veiwing angle

That is a pretty good price. More than capable full HD 22" TV that can play multiple formats. The generic brand may not be desirable for some but it doesn't bother me. Reliability and quality are most important factors.

  • This is adequate. Playing in the background now.

  • For those having trouble turning this on. Apparently there is a switch underneath the TV. The stores have been getting hammered because the switch is not mentioned in manual.

  • Is the DVD multi-region for the UK HUSTLE DVDs?

  • can this record tv from usb?
