I was finally targeted for once.
Would be interested to know how their algorithm works. My only UberEats order was November 2017 and since then have only opened the app occasionally when I see a code posted here to try it. Has never worked, but I got this email today.
I wonder if you can elevate yourself within the programs by keeping ubereats open while you order from competition. Seems to work for me as I get more than the average user. Also doing small things like logging on, going to buy something and then not go through and close the app….I do it because I'm poor…not because I want free stuff.
The segmentation of clientele into discount programs depends on purchase hist, abandoned carts, dormant accounts, engagement and other minor metrics. It's a fascinating role that involves a lot of data and confidence in automated programs.
I've found ever since I ordered from their "free delivery sharing a driver" selected restaurants I've been getting free delivery codes now.
Also sometimes I log on, see the free delivery restaurants, look at their menus and decide there's nothing I want. Could also be contributing to it.
Before I got nothing. So I guess that's a win?
