  • Anyone reccomend this?

    • +4

I do not have this model but I do have a Samsung lock and it has been trouble-free for several years now.

  • any installation? easy to set up?

    • I don't think it installs itself.. :)

  • Nice deal.

  • Can it be used on an apartment entry door?

    • Yes and No.

      • Please explain…….Pauline here

        • +1

Something about the lock needing to be tested against AS 1905.1 to prevent a fire spreading outside the apartment (and must be self latching).

I'm personally having a hard time finding a compliant one for my apartment, besides the Lockwood 001 Touch which is not really what I want.

        • +1

Yes if you don't require a fire rated door and your body corporate approves it.
          No for all other scenarios.

  • OzBargained.

The site is experiencing technical difficulties.

Nice price but I prefer the features on my Lockly.

Bad reviews - I'm interested but would not risk it.

The diagram for this lock: https://digitaldoorlocks.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/S… Shows the reset port on the front of the lock? What's to stop somebody resetting the lock, then using the default PIN to gain entry?

    • +2

      Good question,
You will need to be inside the house to reset, all digital locks can be reset as long as you are inside the house.

The reset port you referring to is to reset the system, not to reset the password, not information lost.

      Hope the above help.

  • Can the orientation of the handle be changed?
It is cheap because the orientation of the handle?

    • Left or Right both fine, no need to specify the orientation. Its on discount.

      • Gender neutral then.

  • Does anyone know charges for installation of this lock?

      1. Buy Screwdriver
      2. Leftie loosey
      3. Righty tighty

        Buy Screwdriver

        BORROW screwdriver.

      • Thanks and Good to know. I thought it would need some special skills to install this lock.

        • Depends on your existing lock setup, and you may need some filler to fill up the void area left from old lock.

I paid a few hundred bux for a locksmith to do it

  • Hey OP, can you recommend any reasonably priced electronic locks suitable for an outside perimeter gate and (somehow???) have the ability to let delivery guys/ postie gain access?

    • Hi,
      We dont do gate locks.

  • Does this have a deadbolt to satisfy insurance?

      • Legitimate question, how can people remotely access the door/locks?????????

Airbnb, not in the same state/country - how to control the lock access??????

PS. might want to calm the farm on the negging for legit questions …

  • Damn… I've been waiting for a smart lock sale, but 2 months too late…

  • how easy is it to change from lock mode to passage mode and back again? I want to be able to keep it unlocked when I'm home and lock it when I'm away or at night, etc.

I had a quick look at the manual and it seems I have to put in a code to change modes all the time? Or is there another way?

I have this and used it for over 6 years.

I use Enelope battery and only needs changing every 1.5 years.

The lock gets full sun in the afternoon for a few hours and still works fine.

The key pad now start to show scratchs.

  • My existing locks are all 60mm backset, this one appears to be 70mm non-adjustable?

  • Hi OP we live next to a main road and have young children; does this unit have access restriction from indoor unit so I can prevent kids from opening door themselves and put themselves at risk?

    Thanks!

  • How long does it usually take after purchasing to be sent?
