Good to see AIB 5700 XT prices dropping a bit, but still need to drop a further $50 before I can pull the trigger
Good deal as far as non-reference cards go. But still $80 more than reference like this deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/482261. In US non-reference cards are only $20USD more.
I think most of the price difference is due to tariffs in Australia.
But the tariffs would affect both reference and non-reference?
$400 USD is around $590 AUD. Add in GST and that comes to around $650. So this is still a good deal by comparison, it's just that our reference boards are actually really cheap here when on special and hence the gap.
Can't help but feel it's a little too high still, but definitely a solid price for anyone who has to jump in now.
Yea I am happy to wait for Black Friday, I am hoping we will get some sub $600 non-reference cards
Non reference sapphire Nitro+ RX 5700 XT is like 250$ AU more than The reference XT , really???? It’s just better go and buy the RTX 2070 super for 11% more frames and performance
It's literally more expensive than some of the basic RTX 2070 super variants. What are they thinking?
The sad thing is that at only $30 more than the Pulse it makes more sense buying that than the Pulse.ASUS is even worse, it's Strix 5700 (non-xt) is more expensive than some of the non-reference 5700XT's, let alone the reference ones.
If you want a non reference 5700 XT you're probably better off just waiting till Powercolour's models become more widely available. Their Red Dragon model is sanely priced in Aus ($100 less MSRP at PCCG) and performs just as well as the Pulse.
AND that's a wrap, sold out. Probably good for my wallet, I was so tempted to pick one up yet I don't really need it just yet.
For those wondering this is a good card and doesn't have some of the design issues seen on other cheaper models.
