    HDR @ 270nits? 😂

Anyways decent price for a cheap biggish tv

    • I have the TCL 65p6us and I think it's 450 nits. HDR10 shows up that it's working but I can't tell the difference, so for sure it's a let down in that regard. The PQ is stunning however, especially 4k content. Colors pop, contrast is very good too. This is comparing to a 2018 LG OLED, and it stacks up pretty well (except against Dolby Vision, the LG is in another league with that running, even simulated Dolby vision looks amazing)

Not sure how this TV compares, but TCL make excellent panels imo.

      • Fair go I know someone with the p6 in 60 inch. I think you can't see HDR10 cos it's not an actual 10bit panel only 8bitFRC. So pretend HDR basically. My Sony x800d I have is true 10 bit but wish I had Dolby vision.

It's ok for price so can't complain either way but if someone thinks they're getting true HDR with TCL or hisense, think again.

  • Looks like a Good bedroom TV, Appliances online has it for $999

  • No stock? Says 0 available.
Plus only 3 sold/were available so quantity is too low for a deal.

    • All my local stores say available for pickup with delivery stating more than 10 available. You must be out of area

      • Ah yep, played with postcodes and the available quantity changes

  • Wonder how it compares to the Ffalcon 50UF1.

    • +2

      The TCL will be better.

      • +1

Ffalcon is TCL too. They should be pretty similar.

        • Yeah, but just noticed Ffalcon runs a (slower?) Linux OS.

  • I'm in QLD and good guys and JB Hifi have it for $500. I'm after a bedroom TV for my daughter worth it at that price? Any suggestions for the $500 mark she will mainly use it for streaming services netflix, iview you tube etc.

  • Best bang for bucks if you are after a 50" UHD TV.

All TCL P Series are reduced about 20% before applying discount code.

  • Is there much difference in quality between the TCL P and C series?

  • I've just bought the 55" version of this TV - $650 after all discounts (RAC etc) from Retravision in Perth.

Very happy with the quality of this TV given its cost.

  • I bought this tv on the last BingLee sale and returned it the following week. The quality of the picture was grainy even watching 4K content. My 6 year old FHD Samsung has much better picture and colour.

Replaced it with a LG 50" and I'd recommend anyone do the same and not waste any money on this TV no matter on the price.

  • Damn! Bought this TV a couple of months ago at a special staff discount scheme for around $500 but couldn't have anticipated such drop in just a couple of months. Really good TV especially since its Android. And I like the quality of 4K contrary to opinions above or maybe I am not such a good observer.

  • Wonder how would this TLC compared to the Kogan TV?

    • +2

      TLC better than Kogan.

Android Oreo is pretty fast and TCL has a 3-year warranty better customer service.

  • Can TCL's Android sideload apks? Saw in previous comments TCL's Android not allowing applications

$399 + $15 delivery @ Appliance Central now. You have 18 minutes left!

  • Appliance Central jack up their price to $545. It was $499 until yesterday.

    • It wasn't jacked. It was temporarily reduced on Sunday until midnight last night to $499 from $570. It was previously $590 before that too. Anyway, now it's down to $530.
