Yet Another Help Me Find a Car! 25k

EDIT: ****Decided not to go ahead with car purchase****
Please feel free to comment your thoughts on the car but not my personal decision :)

Dear all,

Shitty times, trying to cover up sadness with purchases (I know i know, but i made up my mind) + i wanted to upgrade my car for a while now.

budget: 27k (i can do upto 2017 model)- finance
Current car is worth 10k- not sure if i should get loan for 17 or get car loan for 27k and use 10k for something else? what are your suggestions.

Must have- Ventilated seats, Great sound system, AEB, Adaptive Cruise, Leather seats,Memory seats, Turbo- 110kw+ / Non turbo 125kw+ , comfy ride, warranty/ brand reputation, Not very bland looks

Great to have - Panoramic Sunroof

Options- Not sure which cars in australia have ventilated seats, i only know camry/i30 sr premium/ optima gt

Tried
Optima GT-YAY- premium features - NAYFuel economy
i30 SR- YAY Engine -NAY wish there was more space
Cerato GT - YAY everything NAY Harsh ride - wish i could do something about this
New Mazda 3 touring - YAY -Sound system, Premiumness - NAY-price, ride bit stiff

yet to try
FOrd Mondeo - trend and titanium - doesnt have ventilated seats - other than that ticks a lot of boxes - what are your thoughts on this car?

ANy other cars that i missed out on?? WHICH ONE Would you choose and why?

hard to find coz lot of these features are not available in features list in carsales

I refuse to willingly and actively participate in financial self-sabotage.

Don't use new car purchase to stave off sadness. Believe me, DEBT doesn't make you happier.

I'd keep my current car and not go into debt for a purely elective purchase decision. I mean FFS:

You bought a 2016 Kia Cerato IN (PROFANITY) JUNE.

Good man. Tough as it might be to hear, your sadness will come and go, debt will follow you a lot longer.

        Hope you feel better.

Really? These are must have these days?

4 wheels, starts and doesn't explode would be must haves….

    • Haha sure. But i wouldnt pay 25K for just 4 wheels and doesnt explode.

Well, i look at mondeo and optima and cerato GT, couple of infiniti models have all these for around 23-30k. Guessed why not. :)

I’d never heard of vented seats until now, I’m feeling pretty low, sitting here in my ordinary non vented seats, wondering where it all went wrong.

if you push hard enough you can create your own vented seats and have warm air flow through

I reckon they are so much more useful then heated seats.

Hey OP, hope you're ok. Check out the ozb mental health page . There's lots of helpful links in there:)

As to your question , I would go with either the i30 SR or the new corolla sx but yes, space is tight for both cars.

  • Perhaps buy a Sony XAV-AX1000 (front USB) or Sony XAV-AX3000 (rear USB extension to a factory USB point) - search OzB for pricing. For the fascia, etc, search for the required Aerpro parts on eBay, etc - https://aerpro.com/vehicles/kia/kia-cerato-2013-yd?src=plugi…

  • Buy shares. take pleasure seeing them go up 3 days out of 7
