As a fellow bargain hunter I recently found a need for AnyDVD HD thanks to importing DVD's and Blu-Ray's from those great Amazon UK deals. It allows you to play any region coded movie on region locked hardware. Best part is it takes literally 3 seconds to load and then allows you to use your preference of movie player.

PS: I do recommend that you try the 21 day trial before buying just to test it out.

    I use AnyDVD HD on my HTPC. Highly recommended. 20% is a good deal for those without.

    In my experience region locked drives on a PC allows you to change the Region about 5 time before locking to the last chosen Region.
    Does this software get around that limitation in the firmware?

      And it works for Blu-Ray as well. Currently using a trial version. I'd love a lifetime licence but even with 20% off it's still expensive.

    Great software, I'm glad I bought a lifetime subscription before they phased it out :D

    Its too expensive, but yeah I still own two licenses.

    Silly thing is I'm probably going to move my HTPC to linux (which has free regionfree stuff) as it appears to support all my hardware and I think mythtv+xbmc is going to be a better solution.

    And I'm not even using my second license as it is.

    So I'll probably have two licenses going unused. What a waste of $.
