Good morning fellow OzBargain brethren. I believe I've stumbled upon an amazing deal.
Recently I've been on the hunt for AMD's amazing line up of processors for my gaming build and I found this beauty.
You get an X570 motherboard WITH onboard WIFI 5 configuration. This beast costs $339 alone on Scorptec.
Then you get a sweet Ryzen 5 3600x which even on a deal, comes to around $320 ish.

You can see the amazing savings on this bundle. If you're on the hunt for an X570 motherboard and a new processor, this is it
Unsure of stock levels.
Also not being sold directly by Amazon so keep that in mind

  • Is this price is for the MB only? Everywhere else sell that for about ~330 so the price seem unreal

    • Nope I dont think so. If you see the amazon listing, it states 'CPU w/ MSI Motherboard'.

  • +2

Must be a price error… buy if you want to see if the honor or give you some voucher as compensation.

  • Wow! What a find! Just bought and built a 3600-MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon combo for around $500+ 2 weeks ago and this popped up. Always the same story, either I'm too early or too late. Oh well, still stoked with my built and now currently pimping it with all of the RGB goodness.

  • +2

The seller has ad a total of 12 sales in the last 12 months (checking their reviews on amazon). Should this be a price error, doubt they will honor as they seem like a small operation

  • Fixed? Can't add to cart

    • yep, fixed. was a pricing error for sure

  • Can't add to cart, must've been pricing error

  • +13

Damn, was going to pull the upgrade trigger at long last. Back to my i5 from 2012 I go :(

  • +5

Kind of glad this is a pricing error otherwise I would have had to buy it…

    • haha, my exact thoughts.

  • Got it just before it got fixed. Will probably get cancelled but fingers crossed.

  • +2

Dam, wasn't even looking for an upgrade but my [email protected] sits at 100% in BF5. Was going to impulse buy with how cheap it was.

For those that ordered keep us updated on whether you get the CPU/MOBO or Amazon give some $$. Either way I will be salty

    • what gpu are you using?

    • I'm in the exact same position, only just managed to bump up my old 4690k from 4.5 to 4.6 last week hoping to squeeze any extra bit of performance out of it as its always bottlenecking my gpu.

      • My 8600k at 4.8 sits at 100% however I'm running at 3440x1440 with a 5700 XT. I'm pretty sure the high CPU usage is a BF5 thing as plenty of people on the subreddit have said (and are still saying) the same thing with various systems. The game plays fine for me (sits at around 75fps which is my refresh rate) but figured I'd just give my own experience.

        • Some games are more gpu intensive than cpu intensive and vice versa. I have an afyermarket vega 64 and unfortunately in my most played game;pubg, its utilisation of gpu is about 50-60% at 2560x1080 whereas cpu 100%

          • @Resin: Yeah definitely, it's just crazy to me that a not even 2 year old CPU running faster than it should is sitting at 100% for a game only a year newer than it.

            • @greeny0: You really shouldn't be bottle necking with that setup. I suspect BF5 utilises more threads than most games as 8th gen I5 did get 2 extra cores but that may still not be sufficient. You could try to push it upto 5ghz between 1.275-1.35V and see if that helps but depends on your luck in the silicon lottery and how much time you want to commit mucking around and testing. Delidding the 8th gen CPUs got alot easier than previous gens as well so might be something to consider to bring thermals down another 5C?

              • @Resin: Thermals are pretty good for me (around 65-70c under 100% load) however whatever I do I can't seem to get above 4.8 stable so I think I lost the lottery :p Currently I think my voltage is around 1.33 but even bumping it up to 1.4 doesn't seem to help with stability above 4.8 so I figured I'd play it safe and quit while I'm ahead.

  • @ 11:31 AEST pricing has now disappeared…

    EDIT:
@ 11:33 AEST - Now showing a price of (for now) AUD 397.00 plus free Prime shipping

    • That's just for the processor I think

What about this one from the same seller?

    here

    I ordered anyways.

    • Thanks mate. :)

    • +1

      wow, even better.
This seller has a knack for pricing errors lol. Edit: Sold out

    • I ordered this too! Seems way too good to be true. Let's hope they honour it haha

  • +1

    I ordered 3600,3600x and the 3800x

Let's see if any will come good;-)

  • Pretty sure the pricing for all the bundles were supposed to be just the boards, without the cpus

Guys, this is a false advert. I bought this last week and good thing I confirmed with them whether it is a CPU/Mobo combo. THis was their response:

    "Hello,
Please accept our apologies for the earlier message. This is the MSI motherboard only, it is not an AMD CPU as the title implies. We have now requested for the title to be changed - just to be sure, this listing is for the motherboard only, not the CPU.
Please let us know. Thank you and apologies again!"

    "Hello,
    Thank you for your message.
Unfortunately it does not - this listing is for the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 only, as listed in the title. We do see that the product image is incorrect and we have requested that Amazon update this to avoid any confusion.
Would you still like to go ahead with tour order, or would you prefer cancelling it?
    Thank you in advance."

Seems they fked up their listing…

    • Welp, looks like I lost all my hope to score a bargain. Thanks for this :)

      • +1

Yeah I was thinking it was an amazing deal…but of course if it's too good to be true…

    • +1

Yep thought so, after reading all the reviews at the bottom looked like everyone was just talking about the mobo, no mention of any bundle

    • For those reading this I was able to email and cancel the order quite easily after 3 or 4 days before dispatch. I actually chose this one for $328.

      https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07T5QDRFX/

I didn't check if it was both the mobo and cpu as it was an impulse purchase that I really didnt need, but at least the cancelling was easy.

    • -1

      Agree.

I was tempted to try, but not enough in the description on what you would expect to receive.

    • +4

Ditto ~ bought this weeks ago ~ received on the Motherboard - NO CPU.

      Had to return it.

      • +1

Amazon Au has so many shits all over the places . Been weeks and they still don'ts fix it. You give bad review and Amazon does not approve it.

        • If you remove the .au from the link to go to US page there is no processor in the listing at all. It must be Amazon AU messes up the listing somehow.
