What does it mean when something is "biodegradable"?
bio: (noun) a biography or short biographical profile of someone.
degradable: (adjective) capable of being degraded.
a short biographical profile of someone who is capable of being degraded…
9 to 18kg is a massive range!
Will they break down in a domestic compost bin? If so, I'll buy heaps (if my wife lets me compost them).9 to 18kg is a massive range!
big poos…
These nappies are certified industrial compostable, not home compostable. They will all sit in landfill for the next 100 years (although still better than plastic).
A real ozbargainer will go cloth nappies, or better yet, lay down some newspaper.
Ain't nobody got time for cloth nappies man. If you do, much respect.
I've got 7mo twins. We have time for cloth nappies mainly cause we made it a priority. Once you get into a routine, it's actually pretty easy and has already saved us a fortune!
Only compost them for use in stuff you're not going to eat, like flowers. Don't want poop pathogens in the soil of your crops.
Also, these are pretty useless. Most nappies are compostable, except you can't really use them in compost because of the poop and you can't put them in a green bin either.
not the side tapes…
