  • Has anyone tried these beans? How are they compared to some the other regular ozbargain coffee posters (Bada Bean, Manna Beans and Pablo & Rusty's)?

    • +5

I have.. Highly recommended.. Small batch, freshly roasted.. From a multi award winning roaster :)

      • +2

        Does you vote count ?

Anyway on your previous deals have done well with no negs so I'm off to your WS .

        • +3

          Slightly biased perhaps :)
          Thanks

    • +1

I haven't yet, but OP has posted plenty of previous deals.

Personal taste will be a factor, but they provide detailed info and are upfront about the roasting and shipping.

I'm a regular customer of TCC, on a subscription, I receive a monthly delivery of 1kg. I have previously tried Manna Beans and I would say that TCC are comparable in quality. I've enjoyed both. I have stuck with TCC for convenience, price and enjoy having the variety of the different single origin each month. Hope that helps.

    • +2

I have, it was very good, slightly better than Bada but roast varies to roast and both good.
      $30/kg is good value

    • +3

I switched from Manna Beans to Two Cracks Coffee.
Went through a noticeable amount (for a home user) of beans from them - consistent quality, good price (value).
I tried Bada Beans and didn't like it at all.
      Pablo & Rusty - haven't tried them.

      So in my books
      1. Two Cracks Coffee
      2. Manna Beans
      3. Bada Beans

Pablo & Rusty - not enough data.

  • +1

cant be worse than pablo and rustys. but 2 kg worth is a big risk.

  • +2

Have tried a few times - always fresh, and can vouch for the PNG! I doubt anyone would be disappointed.

    • Thanks :)

  • $5 increase in the global caffeinated promo

    • Bummer, I've bought a few of those, 2kg is too much for me.

      • +1

Subscription is still only $35 a month:)

  • Prefer one crack

    • Never tried 2 cracks before.

  • can someone recommend me a grinder? around 100 dollars. or even cheaper.

    • +2

Second hand breville smart grinder pro or sunbeam em0480 at that price point.
New about $150-200.. Usually find both on sale somewhere :)
      Cheers

Baratza Encore is ~$180, yes over budget but that’s where you should go, you will be frustrated / disappointed if you spend less

      • +1

Encore is a great grinder but only for filter grind profiles. It can’t do espresso grind.

  • All I can say is I thank the coffee Snobs of this place as they are right on starting with the freshly roasted beans to whatever coffee you desire :)

  • good for espresso, milk based brews , batch brew, pourover and cold drip.

Is there any kind of brew that you wouldn't advise it on?

    • Nope.. Great all round coffees these.
      Cheers :)

  • Hey OP, good to see you back! Do you have any decaf available?

Also, for those asking, I've tried TCC beans on a few occasions and never been disappointed. Always fresh and flavour is great.

    • Hi - thanks! - yep I do - just arrived - can do you the same deal if you want a KG of the organic and a KG of the decaf - can you paypal direct for that though please? - [email protected]

Leave some notes in there and I'll sort out for you:)

      Cheers!

  • How long would 2kg of beans last in terms of freshness? I thought ur supposed to use them within a couple weeks?

    • Hi there - you will get 4-5 weeks out of them at their best - if they are stored in the bags in a pantry or cupboard.
      Cheers

      TCC

  • I'd like to give it a try, but can I have 1kg per month for 2 months instead?

    • If you can find someone to share the deal with you can re order in a month if you enjoy the coffee - I left the deal without an expiry so I think it runs for 45 days:)

      Cheers

    • As far as I understand shipping fee is the killer.
There is no such thing as free shipping - when shipping is free it's just "absorbed" into product price. If product price is low the shipping portion is huge.
So for 500g per month… I don't know if TCC can give a price… But I suspect it won't be lower than $20-$25 per 500g shipped.

      • +1

        Yeah you are right - Express post is expensive - 500g is $11.55, 1kg is $14.55, 3kg is $17.30.
I could look at a 500g a month subscription if people are keen - $25 would be about right.

        Cheers

  • Just ordered the Any 4 x 250g bags roasted and posted for $45 deal. I'll see how they go with cold brewing :)

    • Order and payment received - thanks - Yemen and Ethiopian very nice as pourovers\moccamaster\Delter\Aeropress :)
Will get back to you in a few days with your tracking number.

      Regards
      TCC

  • Can these be separated into 500g or 250g bags?

    • Sorry - 1kg bags only

  • Rep, can we get a deal on the 4x 250g globally caffeinated pack?

What would you recommend for a bean that is less fruity, but still has a sharpness/bitterness? Not a fan of milk based coffees that are basically sour (like some speciality cafes) but love a latte that has some strength after the first sip.

    • Hi there - its $45 for the 4 x 250g roasted and posted.
For the most balanced acidity I would go Colombia or Rwanda - the Rwanda is a lighter roast and is a natural coffee so has a bit more zing.
      Cheers

  • hi op.
how long does 2 kilos would last or keep its freshness for someone who drinks 2 cups a day? it is going to be gift so i dont want it to be wasted:)

    • +1

Hi Baldur - the coffee will stay fresh and taste good for 4-5 weeks if stored in the bag in a pantry or cupboard.
Ikg yields about 40 double shots so 80 shots in 5 weeks is about 2 a day! :)
      There you go!

      Cheers

    • +1

      cheers
      TCC
