    • It would be the same price.

Add 20% now, enter code to revert it back to pre-jacked price.

After promo is over, jacking ends, and it's the same price.

  • Not everything is price jacked. The Seagate IronWolf drives are a good deal.

    • LEGO 21311 Voltron from tru is good also at sub $200.

  • Has anyone contacted Ebay directly about the price jacking?

    • Yes, from memory they 'agreed' that it was dishonest practice and said they would investigate, but aren't really doing anything about it.

      Perhaps we need to share:
      - Screenshots (before / after)
      - Template to send ACCC / eBay

  • Not negging the post, but unfortunately scum ebay sellers that have price jacked and made this deal pointless.

Sales like these are no longer deals. Neg me if you want

  • is the price jacking getting worse????? or is it just me…it feels like it is…

  • Damn I was hoping for a decent $1000-1300 65" TV ;(

  • Another eBay ±20% sale. Surely eBay is in cahoots with the sellers. They're footing the 20% in discount which is going to the sellers pockets, then regaining 10% back in fees? Doesn't make sense

    • Ebay wants you to buy em expensive.

I keep saying this time and time again. Why bother giving pretend 20% off. If all you could do is 5% off rrp. Then so be it.

Why they gotta jack prices above rrp so they can fake offer 20% off?

This can apply to all retailers so not like one or two shops getting hard done by.

Negging due to illegal price jacking, but thanks for posting anyway. There possibly are some bargains in there at least.

Yep, they should call it the 'Weekly OzBargain eBay Price Jacking Treasure Hunt!'

Let's see who can find the non-jacked items this time!

Interesting times provide interesting games as retailers juggle for survival.
These are becoming hard economic times so take advantage of the buying opportunities, but don't financially over commit yourself.

IE: 28/8 saw Hisense 65" R8 $1295 including 20% off at AC and $1196 inc 20% off at VP.

So why not Wait till you see the white's of their eyes before pulling the trigger.

      Thanks dad.

    • Or in other words: Code should be JACK20

Hmm.. actually you might find some gems..
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 is $175.20 with Futu - after code applied
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AMD-Ryzen-5-2600-Processor-3-4-G…

The same item is $209 in MSY and $199 in MWave (https://www.mwave.com.au/product/amd-ryzen-5-2600-6-core-soc…)
and $199 in Computer Alliance (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AMD-AM4-Ryzen-5-2600-Six-Core-3-…)

  • ACCC this faeces

  • No point posting these deals anymore … we are helping the shitty ebay in misleading not so smart customers.

  • eJackBay

Would it make a difference if we all left a negative Google review for every company that seemingly pricejacks… maybe the practice would dry up?

  • Even with the higher prices I still grabbed a couple of things from sparesbox significantly cheaper than other ebay sellers, repco and supercheap

    ty!
