Earn $10 USD in Crypto Currency (BAT) by Watching Some Short Videos and Installing Brave Browser @ Coinbase

190

Coinbase is offering this deal again. Members who haven't partaken it before can now earn $10 USD worth of Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) by watching 3 short video and answering a question for each then installing Brave Browser (Chromium based) to earn the last $7 USD. It took 5 minutes to do as I had an account setup from the DAI freebie a last month.

The freebies for DAI, EOS & XLM are still going.
Use the links for both EOS and XLM which are provided in the box below to help your fellow OzBarginers.

If you got any concerns just look at the comments section for the DAI deal, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/474326

          • @mr_asstight: agree if its btc and youre not a trader, but 95% of alts are never coming back

[ - not sure why its tagged you,i think i hit reply to you instead of the thread! ]

@JKat: 95%+ of alts are scams and shouldn't have existed in the first place

  • Not a freebie.

i earned the BAT last time, cannot earn anymore on this "new" offer

    • Was it available before? I didn't know, sorry. I just got a email telling me I can earn it now.

      • Yeh it was the same i think, it made u download Brave browser

Brave is what we should be using anyhow :)

OzBargain accepts BAT! I give tips to OzBargain when I earn BAT as I browse. Been using Brave on PC and Android for almost a year. Gave up on Firefox and made the switch.

    • I'm trying it out now… Looks like a fork of Chrome.

  • Went through all the videos, downloaded and installed the browser. I can see ~$15. How to I withdraw the money??

    • +1

Coinbase doesn't support withdrawl in Australia, I just moved it to Independent Reserve and withdrew it to my bank account from there.

      • +1

        What's an Independent Reserve?

        • its the name of an aussie exchange

    • +1

You cant easily, if you want cash in your account you'll need to go through a bit of a process [if anyone knows an easier way, let us know!]

      • convert it from Alt coins to BTC
      • send it to an exchange that has withdrawls/deposits for AUD like BTCMarkets, Coinjar or Coinspot [i use btcm, but i havent withdrawn coz im not keen on the 35% CGT]
      • convert it to AUD
      • send to bank account

      HTH :)

WTF! Why do people use crypto if it's this hard to deal with?
Anyway thank you to both of you for trying to help :)
        I don't think it's worth it!

        • You are most welcome, its probably not worth it for small amounts of altcoins, but it could be worth selling the alts for BTC and sitting on the BTC :)

          • @JKat: Thank Jkat. What's an altcoin? I thought this was BATcoin?

            • @obavatar: @obavatar Altcoins are alternative coins, basically any coin that is not BTC

so BAT token is an alt coin :)

              • @JKat: I see. That makes sense. Thank you.

      • Btc market trades BAT, only 0.85% fee to convert to AUD and free to withdraw

        • I have no idea what you just said.

      • Layman's terms please

  • How is coinbase for small purchases? Like $30 USD worth? I dont plan on investing anything, just need a bit

    • +1

depends on what you want to purchase, any exchange that you have btc on you can buy things with, depending on what you want to buy you should probably use a privacy coin like Monero, Dash or ZCash

      • Is coinbase reliable/legitimate? Sending them photo id has me a bit weary though I know thats standard for bitcoin. Again not doing any big investments.

        • +1

ive never used coinbase so i cant comment sorry :)

the idea of giving the exchanges my personal information used to make me uncomfortable, but what makes me even more uncomfortable than that is being locked out of my exchange account or it being compromised and not being able to access anything, remember you will be entering bank details for withdrawals etc

Verify your account, do your KYC for security, enable 2FA, stay safe

          • @JKat: Ive used Coinbase for the past couple of years, so far so good. If you are unsure about giving your personal details to an exchange it is always wise to read a few reviews first… i was just about to sign up to one exhange offering a token giveaway, but read a fair few negative reports so decided to give it a miss, can never be too careful
