Hi everyone,
I went to the store to collect an order for wifey and during the process I provided my photo ID and the confirmation email. Unfortunately, they still wanted me to show wifey credit card, otherwise I can't have the order.
I checked with the customer service, and the response was:
Who ever picks up the order need to have 3 forms of identification.
-Their ID
-Credit card used to pay
-Email confirmation/ Tax invoice
In my opinion, in some cases, the collector is not able to obtain the buyer's credit card. In my case, I was told to get a picture of the credit card to prove the possession.
On hindsight I should have gone to the shelves, lined up to pay and leave. Or maybe wifey should use paypal so that I don't need to hold everyone up behind me, not to mention the look that I got from the staff.
Needing to produce the credit card that was used to pay for a click-and-collect order is standard procedure in a lot of stores I've shopped at. Most don't enforce it, but they all do have that requirement.
