Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey 4.55kg - $134.95

50

This is the other stuff I use. Again, I couldn't find a better price online or in any store. At the moment it's the best deal for Optimum 100% Whey so I thought I'd also share this with those interested, but I'm always happy to hear from others with a better place/price. :-D

This is only cheap if picking up from one of 3 branches in QLD and NSW - with minimum $10 shipping ($20 for WA, NT and TAS) it's not as cheap as eBay.

This seller has it for $139.95 and free P&H:

Thanks for posting the cheaper price, however, for me, I had a number of "problems" with paypal and refuse to use their service. Too bad they don't do plain old credit card payments.

      • +1

I've never had a problem with Paypal.

        • +1

I have had a couple. My account has been frozen a couple of times for no explanation at all.'

I still use it very frequently, but I have had problems with them in the past.

      • +3

if it wasnt for paypal buyers protection policy I would probably be missing about $300 out of my pocket.

I had to say that I never had to use it with local australian sellers though

        • +2

          I'd be out $800.

Although with the amount of fees that paypal has it would probably have been cheaper just to not use it…

        • +2

          Fees? No fees for Buyers!

So it is somewhat silly to NOT use it as an additional layer of protection to that provided inherently by your Credit Card.

One for them, and one for you just in case theirs falls off =P

Good price but I think I'll stick with protein direct.

  • I get mine from eBay too - Legit Nutrients

    ~$130 for 10kg WPC

This is not Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein.

      • Even worse, that is unflavoured protein. must.taste.horrible…

        • +1

You realise this is a bargain site trying to get the best deals right? You would pay double the price for flavouring which would make <1% of the product? You know you can buy flavouring itself separately cheap? Seriously ppl…

  • +6

Far and away the best product on the market, I wouldn't use anything else. It's not only what is in this, but also what ISN'T in other products…

If you're in Sydney - you can pick up the same item from Burwood Vitams for $139

If you're in Melbourne, check out a1supplements.com.au - call them and they'll give it to you for $125-$135 depending on haggling skilss.

Just word of warning if anyone's not aware. A1sups have the worst rep for buying online. There's almost more chance of something going wrong than right. Mostly receiving the wrong products, or 1 month + delivery time (even for local). Their customer service is non existent also.

I also use an eBay RealNutritionDirect - they have a great range and really fast/cheap shipping.

I ordered 5 lb from vitacost.com yesterday…I just checked the price for 10 lb and it comes to $114 AUD with shipping…I haven't found anything thing cheaper than this anywhere in Australia or US.

but this is from US; doesn't AUS Customs have a thing against importing whey products?

You can get for the same price at bodybuilding.com, but if you try to post to Oz it automatically stops you because of Customs issues

      • +1

Yeah a mate of mine tried to however customs stopped his order. He told me it was something to do with it being a milk product and protein powders dont disclose where the milk product is originally from.

        • +1

True. You need a a very expensive dairy licence to import milk based products (which includes most protein supplements) into Australia. Apparently it was introduced during the PANIC of the mad-cow disease and to prevention of it's spread. I think it's a massive inconvenience, but I guess it MAY have helped prevent the import of SOME very below-standard protein products by a MINORITY of dodgy operators.

        • I import Biotest Protein every few months without any issues. They hold it up in customs to check the ingredients then they pass it through

    • I thought you couldn't import protein powders from the US for some weird reason. Anyway, thanks for the link. Two 10lb bags ordered - approx $109 each including posting. 8-D

    • +1

So not worth the stress in buying protein from overseas to save a few bucks. It will get seized and you will have a fight on your hand in trying to get it released. The problem is the dairy content of the powder.

      • I thought I would do an update on my vitacost order, if anyone has come here after doing a search on OzBargain.
The order was not received. The shipment was not seized - this confirmed by Customs. Put simply, it was lost… or more likely never even shipped! Never Never Never order from vitacost! They claim to send their shipment, then when you dont receive it, the offer to reimburse about 1/2 of your money (after all their fees etc…). Vitacost is a scam company.

  • I normally get mine from Supplementdirect.com.au but thats normally muscle builders
    This seems cheap though

  • Amazing product. I switched to Myofusion, but I'm thinking of going back to ON. Myofusion is just too damn expensive, and although at first I thought it was worth it due to the awesome flavour, I'm now finding that I don't like the taste of Myofusion any more. Weird.

    • isnt that with all protein shakes??

I bought ON cookies and cream cause it tasted good when i first got it now cant stand it.

Then got banana and loved it now i cant stand it again…..

Chocolate probably lasts the longest but nothing in 10 kg bags ever seems nice >_<

u need to get 2 at once so u can alternate em…just got worry about expiry dates then.
