Maybe put CommBank'CREDIT CARD' in the Title?

And possibly something about the no rewards and the $89 annual fee…

    • good point. not really worth it as max benefits is only $201.

      • Could say it's NonSense really :)

        But I thought 300-89=211? :P

        • Well I must made $10 lost on my stupid. Lol

    • Is there another card that is offering more?

      • There may not be - and some may see this as a good deal :)

Some may see it as 3 months work for a possible $201 haha

        • If you spending that much per month, $201 is probably more then you would make from similar reward cards, or would reward points be worth more, i havent really compared

  • There's the cheaper $59 fee card.. that says up to $300 as well.
Less the $59 over the 3x months would net you $241 discount over the 3x months..
Seems like there would be tricky parts to it however..
EDIT: So if you get the 5% cashback on the cheaper card, it's just harder to hit the $100 cap? That's the only difference I can see.. so you'd just have to spend a bit more? $89 fee only gives you $211 overall so it's still alright just seems like a weird deal.

      So it's basically, Pay $89.
Spend $1000 per month, get $100 statement credit. For 3months.

The cheaper card being 5% with same caps means $2000 spend per month for 3x months and $100 credit per month.

Math not my strong suit today.

  • Damn! Just got their card last month for the $100 cashback, and now they go and increase the cashback to $300. :'-(

  • Applying credit card is so much harder nowadays, especially when they can see how many credit cards and the limits that you have.

    • Really depends on how much you earn, if you full time employed and can show you can pay it off, to how hard it is

  • I got excited as I am looking to spend around $5K on air-tickets soon. Then saw capped to $100/month.

  • Would this allow you to spend the money on electricity bills and woolworths gift cards? I'm not sure it's a great use of my time but $211 is a fair bit of money and even if the money spent of gift cards takes more than 6 months to spend that would be fine (I wouldn't need to buy 6 months worth if electricity bills work)
