For anyone wanting the NERF gun its PMEGA20…

    I hope I don't regret sharing this info! :(

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nerf-Mega-Megalodon-Blaster-inc-…

I narrowed it down to that listing too. Odd that it isn't an eBay Plus seller, and there's a postage cost.

  • +1

Can we put this on Onbusman? I have screenshot the spotlight page, the term and condition page, the item page with 85 viewer but 300 sold for the bose headphone. Those are all I can do to collect evidences.

    • I wouldn't be too salty about it. At the end of the day they have no obligation to sell anything to you.

I (myself) have also missed out on these deals, and paid nothing for the eBay Plus trial so there's no loss incurred on my part. A paying customer, however …

      • +1

but they do these promotions to make you sign up to ebay plus. This a bit misleading as i didn't get any deal besides the towel, even though i was prepared and fast.

        • I do agree that if you paid for a membership just to access this promotion, then overall it has been quite misleading.

eBay has done the same types of promotions in the past (AirPods, 1TB SSD) so they very much know what they are doing, and are aware of the amount of customers/clicks its generating.

          • @P1xellat3d: yeah, the loss they have on sold discounted items probably is paid back by the memberships sold (and people who didn't get the deal).

    • It's just evidence that you missed out.

Another day another almost useless eBay sale.

  • -2

    Hey everyone,

I know most of you are unhappy, but thought I just you know I was successful buying the Bose earphones.

    I bought it at 2:00:49sec

Prior to 2PM it was listed as out of stock, I refreshed the page about 30 seconds after 2pm and there was stock.

Hopefully that helps you for other coming hourly products

  • +1

Once you have it in your cart, it should lock it out. If you decide to cancel, it should give it back to qty, and those who refresh might get lucky.

How can you buy if you don't even see the item appear?

    • -1

How can you buy if you don't even see the item appear?

As my wise OzBargain sensei once told me, "How does one buy that which is not on sale?"

      Ponder and reflect.

    • eBay must implement deal purchase system similar to Amazon lightning deals. Current way of purchase is crap. I hate it.

      • -1

eBay needs warehouses and to fulfil items like Amazon

        • @whaleoilbeefhooked

If you search the previous comment entries/pages, people listed the item and seller (which was the same seller for the Apple Airpods from a previous deal).

I opened that link and refreshed it.

It's very unfortunate people down voted me for just trying to assist people for future hourly deals. Was just trying to help.

I understand people were unhappy missing out on the deal, but that is just low.

  • +5

For the 20th birthday of eBay, this is kinda a bad deal…

  • +10

Holy… Some of you guys really get worked up over this, there's limited stock, we all knew that going into this deal. We all knew that not everyone would get one. People were quicker than you, you didn't get it, if you had got it you wouldn't be complaining at all. Stop being so entitled and just suck it up.

FWIW I didn't get anything either.

    • +2

It's not about someone feel entitled or not, but more of questionable tactics from eBay.
If everyone can participate on this deal without joining (or paying) any membership fee, then you are absolutely correct about people feeling entitled, etc.

In this case, eBay enticing people to fork out money (for joining eBay Plus), and "tricking" them in thinking they actually have good chance of getting this deal…

  • +2

For anyone who cares, the next one is this item and the code is "PCHEF20". Not active yet, but it will work.

  • +3

This reminds me of the old school catch of the day timed event sales, except those had much less stock and much more angry 'customers' hehe.

  • +1

I reckon this is the pan if anyone is interested - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Anolon-Endurance-Open-Chefs-…

  • +3

I have an active ebay plus membership since last month. The ebay.com.au main page kept saying something like 'get ebay plus trial to enjoy $20 ebay deals'. It wouldn't load the Bose Wireless banner until it had sold out. F*****g useless eBay.

  • +4

  • +3

  • +2

Hopefully this next one isn't a flash in the pan.

  • +1

I dont even cook…. but bloody hell i'm getting something from the ebay thing today…Wish me lluck with the Pan

  • this is bullcrap…

  • +1

Probably I guess some of them work from Ebay try to not refresh spot deal list for corrupt purpose. They got the item before put in on spot deal, I think we can fill a form to ACCC for scam or fault advertising. Should down vote and cancel my Ebay plus, not about jealous but its about fair trade. The main things is the spot deal page need refresh at specific time and must be only valid if they click through the deal page. But almost 2 3 mins later or its come up with sold out, maybe will try to report for scam, fault and corrupt now.

    • You can't report them for selling out before you had a chance to buy one. Just sounds like a tantrum.

      • +1

Use bran before talk mate. I report them for not refresh page for scam or corrupt.

  • +1

They updated the pan listing already

  • +5

    Shitty event ever

    • +1

      You should know

    • +7

      Tell your boss

      • He can't. Who would be fired up!

  • https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/293196987313 (Code: PMEGA20)

Nerf wars at the next OzBargain meetup?

    • What do you think of the fact that seller isn't eBay Plus and there's a postage cost?

      • I've noticed they slowly started taking down eBay plus tags on items. Plus it's the only one listed at $54.99 (matches the prices on Finder)

        • $20 + $18.95 postage isn't as special. Will be interesting to see what happens.
Maybe some of the information available isn't accurate. Like the Oral-B, that doesn't really match any listings.

  • Had the bose in my cart, put in the code and it was invalid (double checked the link was the right item)
Then sold out within 2 minutes

  • +1

Hopefully this all PANS out well.

  • +2

Lol nobody wants the pan, is it even a good deal?

    • I got the pan for the sake of it :)

    • +1

What do you mean? It sold out in 27 seconds.

      • I refreshed it a few times and it was creeping up 3,4,5 sold

  • +1

  • +4

jsut wanted it because i was so mad about the stupid google / bose
    maybe that was ebay's tactic?!

    • +1

  • +8

Just got a pan. To be fair, it’s the only item that I actually needed.
Still keeping the neg on the deal. It’s just a shit way to do business

  • Got big fat nothing

  • +2

even the pans all gone within the first minute, i got nothing today, should i get the Nespresso Pods even i don't have the machine?

    • +3

Nah, it's never a bargain if you don't use it… save the $20.

      • +3

if $20 can make me a winner, its a big bargain

        • Dam right..I'll going to try and buy whatevers left

        • Lol, send me the $20 and I'll send you a message every Monday for the rest of the month telling you you're a winner.
You'll be the only person in Aus winning this prize. But time is limited as I only offer this to one person, and that person could be you! :p

          • @mapax: i will send you the $20 via courier, plus the delivery fee, can you pay the courier via Western Union first, deal?

            • +1

@UncleCheapSteam: Of course Mugu. I want you to feel like the winner that you are!

    • I don't think it's even the genuine Nespresso Pods. Says "compatible"

      • It's not. The only place you can buy the original ones is direct from Nespresso.

    • there is only one answer - YES!! Are you a real OZB???

      • ok if i can't score this fake nespresso pods deal today, i'll resign from OZB

  • +3

Got a pan and the towels. Wanted the home hub and the bose headphones.

  • -4

I'm really unlucky I didn't get the Google Home Mini, feels really really bad!!

    • Inside trading?

    • You'll feel even worse when you realise you've actually missed the Google Home Hub (not the cheap mini).
