Have to agree - made a huge difference for deadlifts, squats where you need the balance. These are purely a gym shoe and if you are more into weights and dont do any impact type exercise they are fantastic.
The extra lip at the back makes so much difference for balance. I love them so much I wont even put them on until i get to the gym just incase its raining and i accidentally step in a puddle.
I actually own about 20 pairs of metcons. O do have a problem haha
Metcon 5s are way better shoes. Still as stable on the heals but way more flexible on the forefoot for any run WODs.
These metcon 4 are usually $84 at Nike outlet during their 40%off sales. Limited sizes though.
I bought these from rebel for $150 about 4 months ago.
Also bear in mind Metcon 5s are now out, so the 4 should be discounted almost everywhere.
