Have you been successful in getting any Australia Post Catalogue specials?

I have tried sooo many times over the years to buy (mostly computer hardware, printers and mobiles) specials in the Australia Post catalogue, but not once been able to successfully get anything. Always out of stock. In all the close by post shops.

how did everyone else get all the bargains?

  • You may have to go to the bigger post offices. not the little one in the back of the newsagent.
Phone the 13- number, and they will tell you the nearest post-office with stock.

  • what you do is you go to a Australia Post store where there's not much people there and you will find all sorts of items that are available.

  • If anything on the catalogue was not in stock, you may ask post manager to place an order for you. you just need to wait for a few days before it comes in.

  • Never had a problem. Most recent purchase was the Telstra smart touch phone for $59 when purchased with a $40 recharge. It's actually quite a good phone. A lot of the smaller post shops are only franchises or licensees, and don't offer catalogue specials.

  • If they were a SMART business they would just let you order online/over the phone with free delivery
rather than queuing up…my 2 cents.

(hopefully they could do a deal with a decent courier ;)

    • +1

Maybe they've found slow queues + items on display = impulse buys?
