i know how you feel.. but i think the other one is ambidextrous so if your right hand is busy doing something you can still use your mouse with the left in comfort ;)

That's not correct, it does have an LED. It is green only.

I have had one of these at work for the past 2 years. Never failed me. You can turn the LED off on the top if you download the app AFAIK anyway.

Is this better than my Logitech G302?
They're different mice, this is a larger ergo mouse whereas yours is pretty small and has a unique shape. DeathAdder Essential sensor appears to be an iteration of the sensor in the G302 so probably a bit better but not really cause for an upgrade.
I wouldn't bother unless you're unhappy with the shape of yours and want an ergo mouse or something better with a palm grip.If you need a new mouse and want something similarly small and light, the G102/G203 might be worth a look.
What do you recommend for a cheap mouse with lots of extra macro programmable buttons or just lots of buttons.
If I buy a new mouse it will be something with crazy extra buttons nothing else.
Looking also for a keyboard with a huge amount of extra buttons.. Think like extra macro keys or another two rows of function keys.
Size doesn't matter too much I just want more accessible keys more the merrier as I love having that extra keybind space.

Look up X4S or fantech mouse.
I use one and it fills all my needs decent dpi great aesthetic and extra browsing buttons.. Very simple and nylon braided cord so durable.. I think it was under $20 from ebay just ebay search fantech or X4S mouse they are good value.
Thanks man, just looking for an upgrade from Gamdias Zeus mouse I bought from MSY, looks like X4S are good mouses.
Been using one pretty heavily for over a year now.
Only gripe is if you drop it on the floor the case can come apart a little bit but it clicks back in place very easily just a nice grip and is quite satisfying actually.
Other than that the X4S has been fantastic for me and if you hold down one of the buttons on the top I forget if it is the dpi button or colour cycling button it can turn off all the rgb for when you want to sleep with no light distractions if you choose to keep your pc on overnight.
I honestly wish that they had a mouse with like 12 extra macro buttons somewhere on the side because I would buy that in a heartbeat if the price was right (game show music starts ringing).

I have bought this and will refund the other one as I am on eBay plus. Will not compromise for even $1.96 as a true ozbargainer!!
How does the deathadder essential stack up when comparing to the original? I bought mine over 5 years ago and I think it's starting to die, just don't want to downgrade if this isn't the same quality
