Game is due to receive a big update in December. It might be a good time to pick it up and start playing. Reviews are mixed but if you like the genre it can be fun.

great game… horizons DLC is well worth it, if you have VR this game is even better
this is a long term project from frontier, it isn't an alpha or early release, it's just a game that has a 10 year development plan, even though this game is great now you can expect more in the future, however you'll probably need to buy expansions to get access to the new stuff as they get released every few years
